NMIT Review

I have chosen this course due to its scope and my interest. The student-to-faculty ratio in the college is pretty decent. Each faculty is given 30 students as mentees. Faculty most of the are Ph.Ds and masters completed. Exams per sem have three mid-sems and one sem end exam. And the exams are pretty easy to pass if studied regularly.

The placements are pretty decent and many big companies like Amazon, Adobe, Nutanix. Students are eligible for placements from their 7th semester. Almost 99 percent of the students get placed. I plan to get placed after these 4 years.

The college fee for COMEDK students is around 2.6 lakh for college and 1.15 lakh for hostel and mess. 15k of the fee is hiked every year in the hostel fees. No financial assistance was given by the college. If joined through KCET, by default fee will be less for the student.

Fests are organised timely by the seniors. Anaadyanta is the annual fest organised every year during the months March-April. The library has a very good collection of books and journals for all the academic requirements. There aren't many Novels and Fiction books. There are very good sports facilities. Football ground, Basketball ground, volleyball court.

For hostellites, a 2-4 sharing is given in which there is a spacious cupboard for each student and one study table for each. Food is very good and eatable. Its not exactly like home food, but its ok to eat. Registration process for hostel is normal and decent. And the hostel is pretty decent considering its Bangalore.

The eligibility of the course is to have passed class 10+2 from any recognised board. COMEDK is an exam through which students other than Karnataka can join colleges in Karnataka and the same applies to NMIT. The application is released once every year and the related details can be found on the COMEDK website. There is no reservation in Comedk for non-karnataka students.
