NMIT - A quick review

I chose this course due to its scope and personal interest in coding. The faculty-student ratio is decent and most of the faculty are PhD and master graduates. There are three mid-semester exams conducted every sem and one semester end exam. And the exams are pretty easy to pass with regular preparation.

From 4th year first sem, everyone will be eligible for placements if one is good enough. Mostly people get placed in mass recruiters, but companies like Adobe and Amazon would also come, so if you are good enough, you can crack a good placement. The average is around 5 lpa for all branches and 6 for CSE. Almost 99 per cent of students get placed. I plan to get placed after my 4 years as of now.

Through the management quota for the ISE branch, the college fee is 5.9 lakh and the hostel fee is 1.3 lakh. Every year the fee hike for new batches would be around 15k. But for a particular batch fee would be the same from the first to the fourth year.

Fests are pretty decent, there is an annual fest card anaadyanta conducted every year around April-May. All classrooms have one projector for digital learning. There are good sports facilities, one football ground, one basketball court, volleyball Court. There are a good number of clubs, you can join them based on your interest.

Hostels are 2-3 sharing, you get a spacious cupboard, one study table and chair. Registration of hostels is first cum first basis. Hostels are pretty affordability considering it's bangalore. Food is decent not bad, it's good and edible.

I joined through management quota and the eligibility to join was to have passed class 10+2 from any recognised board. Details about the admission process can be found on the official website. There is no reservation through the management quota. However, Through the KCET quota which is a state examination of Karnataka for entrance into engineering colleges, there is a reservation.
