Dislikes
- A very bad and unpredictable weather with lot of rains and humid-sunny days.
- Night clubs and pubs in huge number (also nearer to campus area) are a distracting way that one can go.
- As a nature-lover, I can't enjoy a wildlife because campus is lot far way from wildlife parks
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose ECE because I like physics personally and moreover, ECE has scope in both software and hardware fields. Faculty:student ratio is very good in MIT. It is approximately 1 teacher per 20 students. The faculty here have done their Ph.D's in their respective departments. The teaching method is like average performance. Term exams are conducted twice in an year and each term exam has 2 sub-term exams. These are a little hard to pass.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees hike can be observed in only 1st year to 2nd year passing. Rest of the years don't have a fee hike. Cost of studying in MIT is lot higher than an average B.Tech private college. There are no scholarships nor financial assistances nor on-campus jobs in MIT.
Campus Life
Annual fest called REVELS is crazy over here which is conducted on March and Tech fest called TECH-TATVA is very useful which is conducted on October. Library in MIT called MIT-Central Library has a wide variety of books and high-class journals in it which is very interesting. The classrooms are digital and are air-conditioned. Sports like swimming, athletics, badminton, tennis, squash are popular. Extra curriculars are well-supported. Clubs like ROBO-Manipal, Project-MANAS, etc are run by student committee.
Admission
https://manipal.edu is the only way you can find application form, fee and its dates. The eligibility of B.Tech course in MIT is only through MET(Manipal Entrance Test) for Indian students. Tuition fee waiver for students below 5k rank is 20% and no other reservation benefits are available. Admission processs for Indian and foreign students are different.
