Likes

The campus life is literally crazy among all the private colleges in India.
As I love nature, the wildlife is mind-blowing here with variety of species.
1st class Gyms are in huge number in and around the campus.

Dislikes

MIT Manipal has almost unpredictable weather with heavy rains.
Food of Karnataka-cuisine is not that good and also sweet.
There are 3 languages i.e., Tulu, Konkani and Kannada which is very difficult to identify the native people speak

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose the E&I branch as I don't have any other option because of my MET rank. Faculty: student ratio is very good here. There difficult to pass (for an average is a lot of faculty in each department of MIT. All the professors have done their Ph.D. and their teaching is quite excellent. Term exams (Semester) are conducted twice a year. They are student).

Class Size: 70Course Fees: INR 1330000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't think there's a lot of fee hikes here. It can be seen only in the 1st-2nd year of B.Tech. The cost to study is higher than an average private engineering college. There's only 1 scholarship provided through MIT i.e., MET merit-based based waiver (20% for rank below 5k and 100% for rank below 100). There are no jobs with stipend on the campus. None of the financial assistance is provided.

Campus Life

We have air-conditioned digital classrooms including a blackboard. It has a sound speaker system. We have MIT-Central Library which has top-class journals and popular books to read. The annual fest called REVELS will be conducted in the month of March. The tecta fest called TECH-TATVA will be conducted in the month of October. REVELS is the most popular here. Sports like athletics, swimming, and badminton are well-supported here. Extracurriculars like dancing and music are my favorite. Clubs like E&I-Manipal, ROBO-Manipal, and Project-MANAS are under student management.

Admission

Eligibility for the B.Tech course is only through the Manipal Entrance Test (MET). Branches in the courses are available on the basis of MET rank of a student. Application forms, fees, and dates can be found at http://manipal.edu. There are no reservation benefits and I think the admission process is a bit inaccurate.

my view on internship oppurtunities

Placement Experience:

the placement rate says 100% but you have to be maintaining 7.25 cgpa in order to sit for the placements and they are classified into 1) mass recruiters 2) dream companies3) superdream companies for which you will need 9 and above cgpa. i personally am dependent on placement or i also am appearing for the GATE entrance exam in my 3rd year as well as my 4th year and will see where life leads me but honestly i just want to start working and gaibn indstry experience and make money and develop skills faster

Placement Experience:

They fake a lot of their placements....now the bangalore campus currently has 40%placements but they fake the placement rates to make it look like its 80 or 90% which is sad...i heard that if u have really bad marks and couldnt get placed(a lot of ece and eee people, cause they will purposefully try to fail u so that u can apply for the couse again) they will make u sign a document were u agree u never sat for placements.

MIT Manipal owns engineering!

Admission here are very consistent and just two methods. No other method works here as MIT Manipal has very clear plans. Either you can qualify through Manipal Entrance Test or JEE scores but 90 percentile is required. So it is tough as engineering seats in MIT Manipal maybe high but competition to be in top 1000-1200 means competing with nearly 100k students....Read More

MIT Manipal is awesome!

For B.Tech courses, Manipal Entrance Test is conducted by the college and students on the score and ranking are alloted branch. CSE and AI are taken by top rankers and then mid rankers can take our branch. However, first choice is always with the students. MIT Manipal is super tech savvy!

In MAHE or MIT Manipal the university only accepts their own entrance scored as JEE qualifications and all have very limited seats.
