Course Curriculum Overview
The major reason for choosing this course is because of the curriculum of the college, the chapters we study here are very precise keeping us industry-ready, and one need to study unnecessary chapters like Chemistry and physics for going into IT or research in IT unless they do research in that field, The faculty-student ratio is decent for first semester because all students have same course around 1:20, later as the courses diverge it comes to 1:10.Every one in the faculty is surely a PhD or a postdoc or any higher degree of education, The teaching method is good. Regular exams are conducted once in 3 weeks and one has to put in daily efforts to pass with good grades.
Placement Experience
This college is named for its 100% placements in BTech. Students in BTech become eligible from the 5th semester and dual degree students from the 7th semester. The placement statistics can be checked at iiit.ac.in. The highest package on campus is 1.2 Crore and the lowest is 12L while the average is 27L. I did not fix any plan after getting my degree as I'm still exploring.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee hike per year is 10% and costs around 18L for whole course,There is scholarship on need basis and income basis.There si alumni support where one has to repay the whole tution fees after he gets a job within 2-3 years
Campus Life
The name of the Annual Tech and Cultural Fest is Felicity and held in February every year. The library has a lot of books to use and there are daily journals and magazines available, the classroom has all amenities available, some lack a good sound system, sports activities here are not so extensive or exhaustive here as it is a research college and they are just enough to have fun and good fitness, don't expect to go any sports team by playing here as the facilities are just good to enjoy not for rigorous training. But the location of the campus is very good and you can get high-quality training around the college. There are clubs in college . You can know what happening in college from clubs.iiit.ac.in
Hostel Facilities
The facilities provided in a room are a bed, study table, hangers, fan, and light. There are 4 messes in college Kadamb, north, south, and yuktahaar, one can choose any of the 4 messes and keep changing based on interest and the menu in each mess is different. No, I did not rent a room or Pg but there are a lot of rooms available in the locality nearby.
Admission
The admission consists of 2 levels, it consists of UGEE exam which has a written exam of 3 hours, and a personal interview. The eligibility is to have 60% in PCM in Class 12. One can find the application form at iiit.ac.in. The application fee for the whole process is 3,000. Usually, the deadline for application can be found in iiit. ac.in, So, one has to keep checking the website regularly The admission process could be made more smooth by conducting more rounds for seat allocation and flexibility in choosing preferences as one can make slight errors.
