Course Curriculum Overview
Firstly, this was the best course I was getting on the basis of my JEE mains rank. I had a special inclination towards Electrical Engineering during my 12th class. The faculty-to-student ratio is OK. During practicals, one assistant is assigned to a group of 5 students. In lectures, one professor teaches 104 students. The faculty here are highly qualified. Most of the professors have a PhD from top IITs. However, the teaching method of some teachers is not that good. The exams are held twice in each SEMESTER. There are mid-sem exams and then there are end-sem exams. Practical exams are held only during the end sem. MNNIT follows the new education policy. The exams are of moderate level.
Internships Opportunities
jp morgan, morgan Stanley, Accenture, adobe, amazon, Flipkart, NTPC, Tata Power and may more companies come to offer different roles which includes core jobs as well as software jobs. Most of the students get intership in software roles and around 20-30% get intership in core jobs
Placement Experience
students are offered internships in 3rd year and sit in campus placement in the final year. In 2022 100% of students are placed and in 2023 82lpa was the highest and the average was 21lpa. Students also prepared for the government exam and cleared it. There are different WhatsApp groups where student prepare together
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees in this college are moderate as one would expect from a government college. The fee is 164000 per year. Fee concessions are available for economically weaker students. Students having family income less than 5 lakh rupees get a recession of 2/3rd of the tuition fees Students having a family income of less than 1 lakh rupees get a recession of full tuition fees. SC/ST students get full remission from tuition fees.
Campus Life
The annual cultural fest here is named CULRAV. The annual technical fest here is named AVISHKAR. They are conducted at the end of March or at the beginning of April. The library here is great. It is fully packed with books and journals. The library has rooms for studying also. There are sockets for charging phones and laptops. However, sometimes there is no current in the sockets. The library mostly has books related to the course as well as other journals. The classrooms here are OK. Sometimes the AC does not work properly. The benches are not comfortable. MNNIT has a good culture for sports and extra activities. The committees here are quite active. The seniors in the committees are very cooperative. MNNIT is famous for its active robotics club and coding club.
Hostel Facilities
MNNIT provides separate hostel for B.Tech 1st year boys. The hostel rooms are airy and spacious. However some rooms are shared by four students so it might become a little congested. The rooms have sepaarte area for studying. Tables are also provided in the rooms. Each room has three full size almirahs and one small size almirah. The mess menu mostly has meals from North India only with moderate variation. The quality of food served here is good as compared to the other government colleges. The college issues an official notification on its website for registration. The registration process is smooth. The officials present at the time of registration were very friendly and cooperative.
