Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I always had a different level of interest in electrical machines and how they work. The faculties are extremely knowledgeable, we have two sections N1 and N2, and in each section, there are 52 students, which makes the faculty: student ratio = 1:52 per lecture class. We also have regular labs and tutorial classes to provide us with practical knowledge and problem-solving sessions. The faculties are highly qualified and all of them have their unique style of teaching. Some of them really care about the students but some don't. The 75 percent attendance criteria are very strict in the college and the professors are also very strict about it but still, some faculties don't even care about taking attendance, they just come to teach and interact with the students. The mid-term exams were a bit easier to pass but the end-term exams were a bit difficult to pass due to the relative grading system, the CGPI can be maintained.
Internships Opportunities
Companies visit for internship opportunities for third-year students. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, and Atlassian all come for internship opportunities with good stipends. For internships, there a certain CGPA criteria set up by the companies themselves, the companies look for students who have done D.S.A. and some coding-based projects
Placement Experience
One of the best colleges in terms of placements. the average package for electrical engineering is 21 LPA for this year. From the 5th semester, students are eligible for internships and for placements from the 7th semester. Companies like Google, Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, Paytm, PhonePe, etc. visit the college. The highest package was 1.35 CPA and 91.82 percent of Btech students got placed.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are decent just like any other NIT and also as the college comes under the UP government, there are numerous scholarships available, the college provides scholarships to the top 10 percent students of every year. The best part of the college is the placement and internship opportunities that the college provides.
Campus Life
Our college has an annual cultural fest "Culrav" which is the biggest fest of our college, also we have "Avishkar" which is the biggest tech fest of our college. Both of them are now being conducted after mid-semester examinations of the second semester (Late March every year). Our central library has more than 1Lakh books and all kinds of books and journals are available. Our college also conducts sports trials annually to recruit members in the sports team. Sports like Cricket, Football, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Basketball, Badminton, Athletics, Martial Arts and more are available. The best part of the college is the clubs that are run by the seniors, like the coding club, robotics club, media house of MNNIT, etc. They are very active and conduct classes, activities, and competitions.
Admission
Yes, I prepared for my JEE Mains examination and got 16,597 (onc-ncl rank 3897) rank in JEE Mains 2023. As I belong to OBC-NCL I got the benefit of reservation and I got into Electrical Engineering in MNNIT Allahabad. During the admission process, I faced almost no problems as all the documents that were required during the admission process were clearly mentioned on the college's website and all the forms were available which we can fill in advance. All the details regarding admission are available on the college's website.
