college atmosphere is very nice .it will cool all the time
hostels are very nice because we are shifted to new campus.
we are the first batch to stay in the new campus

i dont like the curriculum of this college they have to improve it .
the food is not nice in this college.they have change the food.
there are no proper resources in our college.they have to improve resources in our college

Course Curriculum Overview

i chosen this course because i didnt get CSE branch. the student ratio of this is 1:4. the teaching method is fine in this college but it should improve a little bit.and qualification of faculty is fine .the duration of each semster is 4 or 4 and half months .exams are little bit hard and its difficult to pass in some subjects and it is fine in some subjects.

Placement Experience

students will be eligible for campus placements after fifth semester in our college. only some companies visited our college and they should improve our college placements. highest package is 54 lakhs per annum. and average package id 16 lakhs per annum. 65% or 70% of students are getting placed. i have no plans yet

Fees and Financial Aid

the fees per semester in this college is 1,40,000.the fees should not be increased because it is affordable by every one. we have so many scholarships in our college and financial assistance. still i am studying in second year, so i didnt get any job.

Campus Life

the annual tech fest that takes place every year in our college is parsec. its takes place in the month of march every year. library is pretty good but they improvise it.we have lot of books in our library. we have so many amenities in our class like projecter,etc. we have lot sports in our college . we have all grounds and indosors .sports are very good in our college. we have so many clubs like dance club named the sapphire , music club named the rhapsody etc.

Hostel Facilities

we have a cot , a table, a chair , and a locker in our room. meal quality if fine but they should improve it a lot. there is no registration process for hostel.once if we register the admission automatically they will give hostel. no rented a room or pg.

Hostel Fee: INR 36000 per year

Admission

the eligibility of the course is we have to pass 12th class. we can find the application form in igts official website and everything will in detail. we will have rreservations benefits for OBC,SC,ST.and for OC they will have EWS. i think no improve,ent is needed in admission process

Placement Experience:

Initially back in 2014 when I passed out, the placement opportunities provided were not many. However they had good placement co-ordinators. I believe the placements have improved now. Many companies visited back then, like HP, Infosys etc. However, students were also encouraged to take part in Pool Campus interviews to get hired. Highest package was around 4 lakhs per annum for freshers. Only around 15-20 percent of students got placed through the college.

Life at IIT Dharwad - What to expect

I applied for CSE and MnC branches of all the 1st and 2nd gen IITs along with the 3rd gen IITs, my rank was about 4.8k so I knew I could get CSE only in the 3rd gen IITs out of which I felt IIT Dharwad was the best. My main reason for choosing IIT Dharwad was CSE, also that it was mentored by IIT Bombay, so the syllabus is quite tried and tested, also Dharwad is near to the tech hubs of the country like bengaluru, pune, mumbai, hyderabad which is good for someone who is really passionate about CSE. IIT Dharwad is new but not forever..

The college comes within the list the prestigious colleges 'IITs' and that is the major reason to choose this college and not any other with my rank in jee advance. all you need to do is clear jee advance with a minimum rank of 16-17k to get entered and for computer science it is around 4-5k.
