Honest and true review of NMIT

Reson I choose ECE branch because I can get opportunity in Government sector as well as in private sector, and I had a bit interest in electronics that is why I choose this branch but after completion I got to know that I should have chosen CSE instead of ECE that will give you better placement as well as it is much easier than ECE.

Placements is overall average but for CSE and ISE branch it is pretty good you will get minimum of 8lakhs CTC if you are from CSE and ISE otherwise you will get 4 lpa - 5lpa and all the service based company , minimum requirement for placement is 6.5 but for the safer side please maintain 7.25 minimum to be eligible for more companies, so in one line all the product based companies are for CSE and ISE and all the mass recruiters are for other branches means ECE n EEE, for other branches you will get maximum 5 -10 companies

Cost of study I will describe throughly 240000 per year fees so multiply by 4 approx 10 lakhs and hostel fees including mess you will get 1 lakh so tuition and hostel fee will be 14 lakh and other charges like exam fee, fest fee, travel stationary, dress, certificate basically you have to pay for everything, and of course pocket money so it will cost around18- 20 lakhs of your whole 4 year.

Anadyanta was the fest, it used to be held in March month and I would it be great to attend that fest it was up to the mark, talking about library and journals it is not that good basically you will have all the basic book that you need during the engineering and a hall to study it is not that much kind of library type, you will fans, bulb in every classroom you don't need AC becoz its bengaluru, weather will be mesmerizing and projector in every second or third classroom, whole campus is not wifi enabled you will get internet in labs only by ethernet but the speed is pretty much goof, there are plenty of clubs for all drama club dance club hack club ecell

In first year you will get double sharing room and then upcoming year you will get triple sharing rooms and there is only one hostel Kaveri in which you will get double sharing room but the thing is hostel is to create memories that is not going to trouble you will get to it. but the wardens are strict for the first year, there are plenty of rules you cant go out of the hostel after 10 and you have to punch attendance per day otherwise you will get fined

I got NMIT by writing COMEDK exam which is the entrance test for students who are not from Karnataka, I got approx 15000 rank and by counseling and as per cutoff I got ECE in NMIT, at that time college ranking was 100 as per NIRF ranking but now I think cutoff got low pretty much and NIRF ranking is between 150-200
