Course Curriculum Overview
The BTech program in Agricultural Engineering at PAU ranks within the top 3, and all the faculty members possess PhD qualifications.The Agricultural Engineering degree program typically spans 8 semesters. In each semester, students are assessed through four types of exams: the first being hourly assessments, followed by mid-semester exams, practical exam and finally, external final exams.
Internships Opportunities
Students mainly undertake internships at tractor companies and government training centers. These internships also extend to companies like Mahindra, John Deere, Escort, Kubota Limited, and may vary from year to year.
Fees and Financial Aid
The university offers numerous scholarships, which can be found on the PAU portal. Additionally, students may qualify for a 50% fee concession based on academic and financial criteria. The fee structure for 2023 has been updated on the PAU portal, and considering the facilities provided, the fees are justified.
Campus Life
The library facilities at PAU are excellent. Each year, the university conducts sports, cultural events, and other festivals regularly. WiFi is available throughout the entire campus. The average quality of the classrooms is satisfactory, and the university also provides an Education account.
Hostel Facilities
Engineering students reside in Hostel No. 4, where the meals are rated as 5-star quality. Meal options are determined by the mess committee. Each hostel room is equipped with one bed and one wardrobe (almira). Additionally, the hostel committee organizes hostel festivals at regular intervals.
Admission
Admission for state and Chandigarh students is granted through the PAU CET, while other students are admitted based on the ICAR exam. All students must have completed their 10+2 education with a background in physics, chemistry, and mathematics.
