Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course Curriculum was nice but faculty members of EEE branch are not so good in terms of being nice but professionally they are good. I chose EEE because of my rank in JEE mains and also I wanted DTU. Faculty to Student ratio in 1st year is 1/90 and from next to all years it was 1/50(max). EEE faculty members are highly qualified in their subjects and teach very good. They also are very strict and discipline as this branch is not easy. In EEE labs are also important and their faculty was also good but strict. There are two terms per semester first is mid term(20 or 25 marks)and second is end term(40 or 50 marks), they occur timely and conduct smoothly, no disturbance nothing. EEE branch is tough has the syllabus is too much for one semester and also the exam is somewhat tough to get good marks but faculty(not all) understands that and suppprt students in their own ways.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

There were many interesting opportunities in the college accorsing to the interest and course with stipend or for experience. Students also work with professors for any project that they want to submit for research work. And faculty help them in their own ways to take the win.

Placement Experience

3.5

Many people see DTU as a brand that is completely TRUE! Placements are done smoothly and very actively. Many top MNCs like Microsoft, Qualcomm, etc. Visited and many students get placed in others. The average was 9 lakhs per annum. Around 70% got placed. After a Btech degree get a Job or MBA Study abroad or Launch Startup by solving problems.

Fees and Financial Aid

College Fees for Btech in DTU in 2016 was Rs 6,00,000. In the first year, Rs 1,26,000 and every year it increased by around 10%. Other costs depend totally on how you live your college life. There are many opportunities for scholarships, financial assistance and internships on campus as well as a stipend for more details check the latest college website.

Campus Life

4.5

Life on campus totally depends on the student, but there are many fun things to do, to play, to eat and to live. There was Engifest, annual fests and tech fest that usually held in February and for 3 days. Many stars and musicians come for this. This is a total vibe to enjoy on campus. DTU has a huge library filled with all necessary books with easy availability options. Classrooms are very spacious and big in all the years, in the first year it was flat with big benches, projectors and full AC. , second-year students were shifted to their respective departments and got classrooms accordingly which is also good. DTU also has a huge sports complex with all necessary sports areas be it basketball, football, cricket, volleyball, etc. There are also many social groups, clubs, dance groups, music, art, comedy, tech, etc and websites for students that are run by students. Mini stalls near amul and canteen.

Admission

Admission process was very good, JAC did a great job. JEE mains is the exam which was conducted in April 2016 and exam registration started in Dec 2015. To get admission in DTU, DOB should be as per JEE mains, same goes for subjects, marks for boards 40% in 2016, took JEE mains off which 60% got added to total. This will decide the rank in JEE mains. For admission, register for Rs 1500 for JAC on their official website(which is now JAC delhi). Filled up all the details and branches with colleges according to priority in high to low. Waited for rank cut-off round and list for branches in different colleges. Yes, reservation do give opportunities to lower class but not for lifetime it just gives you the entry but you have to work hard in college same as others after that. Accordingly, freeze branch, I selected EEE in DTU in 2016. Then pay for the first semester fees in college which was Rs 1,26,000. Admission was smooth at that time and JAC was very co-operative for any issue or for help.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would rate the course curriculum as **fairly comprehensive and reasonably relevant**, especially in terms of building a strong foundation in core engineering concepts. One of the factors that influenced my decision to choose this course was the **structured curriculum covering important fundamentals such as programming, data structures, mathematics, and core engineering subjects**, which are essential for both technical roles and higher studies. The curriculum provides a solid theoretical base and helps develop analytical thinking, but for real-world applications students often need to complement it with **projects, internships, coding practice, and self-learning**, since some topics are still taught in a more traditional or theoretical way. In terms of improvements, the curriculum could benefit from **more industry-oriented electives, practical assignments, updated lab work, and interactive teaching methods such as case studies or project-based learning**. The exam system typically includes **two major exams per semester — a mid-semester exam and an end-semester exam — along with internal assessments, quizzes, and assignments**. The exams are generally **moderate in difficulty**, and students who attend classes and prepare consistently are able to perform well, though the evaluation tends to focus more on conceptual understanding and written exams rather than purely practical skills.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really liked physics and applications of physics so chose mechanical engineering, as ut has a lot of application of physics directly can really see how things work not just ideally but actually Curriculum is really good besides getting assignments which noone takes seriously everyone just copies , there must be much more practical stuff so that everyone learns but we do get that in tech teams but not directly as a student in college. There must be practical teachings and proper guidance proper high level machineary must be there, industry visits must be there and internships in such companies must be encouraged There are 5 exams of 1.5 hour considered as mid sems and 6 exams of 3 hours considered as endsems

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course Curriculum for ECE in my clg is quite up to date and comprehensive, covering both core subjects and emerging areas of technology, which was a major factor in my decision to choose this branch. Course has a balanced theory with practical exposure, supported by great faculties guidance and well-maintained lab conditions. Also you get to choose the type of minor or specilaization you want to pursue after 1st year. Exams are conducted regularly after each semester, and levels are same as any engineering college would have.

The frequency of the exams is 2 times a year once in the month of December and once in the month of May. Internal exams (tests) are conducted in between to continuously evaluate you during the course. According to me, the exam should be conducted before itself, so that we can get more time for internship opportunities.
