Course Curriculum Overview

I was very much interested in Electrical department. There are more than 200 faculty members and more than 5000 students in the college. Most of the faculty are PhD qualified and some of them are mtech pursuing. Within every 2 months there are mid semister and end semister exam and the difficulty to pass is intermediate.

Class Size: 85Course Fees: INR 40000 per year

Internships Opportunities

1-companies available for my department are like tatapower,Aditya Birla ,hindalco. They provide a stiphen of about 10k and teach about 2 months. The student can start doing internship from 3rd semester. 2 actually we have to make 2 project one in the third year and another one is in the final year

Placement Experience

From 6th semester students are eligible for campus placement. more than 50 company visit every year and the best package of this year is Amazon -2000000. Average is 6lakh and highest around 20-25lakh. To qualify the GATE and apply for psu company.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure of the college is very good and being a state government college it provides quality education at a very minimum price. Some of the scholarship are like post matric ,jsw,e medhabruti .

Campus Life

There were mainly 2 fest of the college one is the cultural fest vassaunt and the other tech fest is smavesh. Plenty of books are available. Good amenities. Lota of clubs and group are there for sports and other activities. Clubs run by students are pixels(photography club),souls(music club) etc.

Admission

Your Air jee main should be less than 200000 You can find the application form and fees and application dates on the VSSUT official website. Yes there is reservations like state quota and special reservations for ST and sc. No, the admission process was perfect.

Remarks:

Positive: A lot of exposure to the external environment. The diversity factor is high. Negative: The fees are quite high. But the things they would be providing are worth it. Lastly, a great salute to the KIIT TnP.

Remarks:

• Pros : Teaching is good. Classes are good. Provided with all basic amenities in the hostel rooms. • Cons : Mess food can be levelled up. Hostel facilities can be improved. Infrastructure can be improved.

Remarks:

College is surrounded by beautiful nature. 7-8 km from college is Hirakud Dam which is the longest Earthen dam in Asia. The Place Burla which college is located is away from traffic and city chaos and is very peaceful place to roam around for getting peace of mind.

A good university with a good environment. Healthy atmosphere.

Remarks:

KIIT University is a heaven on earth for students. I would suggest. Please do apply for this university if you are interested and you won't regret. The only bad part, it's a private University. And people don't realize it's worth saying it's not a government University so they won't be able to provide jobs. It's a myth. Infrastructure and exposure wise this university is the best.

Remarks:

There are no negative remarks from my side as I feel everything very satisfying here. The campus is very huge and beautiful, consisting of all a student needs for studies and recreation. The campus is peaceful and well secured. The police station is very near in case of an emergency so the campus is very safe.

Entrance Preview:

JEE mains and my score was 145. My percentile was 95 in boards. I chose this college partly because my brother has passed out from same college n partly because it has a good reputation in case of campus placements. Nearly every student is placed from campus only.

I have applied to only Outr(formerly Cet Bhubaneswar). I have applied on the technical branches, but got none of them as my rank was around 152000. As Cet is not very good for its core branches, so I preferred Vssut over it. To get technical branches in cet bhubaneswar your rank should be under 50000 in Jee mains. The admission process is through the OJEE COUNSELLING. It is the counselling only for the students of odisha and anyone out of Odisha appearing the OJEE examination.
