Some pro and cons about Asansol Polytechnic as new

The electrical Course curriculum is good for diploma standards. Faculty members are really dedicated and teach you well and provide notes. For exams, they follow the "West Bengal State Council" rule as all the polytechnics are affiliated with that board. There is a total of 6-semester exams in a 3-year course. For every sem, there are 2 internal exams and at the end of sem, there are external viva, project, and lab.

There are some companies who offered internships on the 3rd and 5th sem. You can choose like there are ardent, web and many more, They taught electrical e-cad circuit designing and after completing the course they provide an industrial visit and a certificate which fill up your resume and experience on practical.

From the middle of the 5th semester, the companies are recruiting. Jindal, Mittal, and many more power and software companies are recruiting to their requirements. You can sit for an interview and if you are lucky you can get a job. As for the package, I can say it is not much more like 3LPA as a diploma it's good. If you don't want go to a job, you can opt for higher studies for B.tech.

As this is a government polytechnic they don't have a very high fee structure as other private institutions. roughly 2000 for a year and some college charges extra for their union and other facilities as the institution have. As my fees for the year are only 1300 rs. If you have passed 10th and are admitted with a Diploma you can avail of some scholarships like swami vivekananda scholarship. Which gives students 12000 per year or 1000 per month. As for placement, I say if you have good marks. you can get a job very easily. As the companies are recruiting from 5th sem.

There are mainly 3 fests in college every year Fresher party, Teachers day, Farewell party, Organised by teacher and student together AND there is a Reunion party every two years of gap. At the reunion, any ex-student who has studied in this college can come to enjoy the party while thinking about their campus life.

Eligibility is a minimum 10th pass or, 12th pass with science stream or, Completed ITI two-year course. First, you have to fill out for JEXPO form which is submitted online on the website and then after filling up, they announce an exam date on which you have to appear for the exam or otherwise you are not eligible for admission. After some days of the exams, the rank card was published according to score and counseling started for admission, you have to fill in your preference of college and course you want, and if you get any choices you have to verify your documents and take admission.
