Navigating Academia: My Journey at Asansol Polytechnic

This is only a govt. Diploma college for mining engineering on west Bengal through jexpo entrance. There are 6 teachers per 35 students. Teachers and faculties are efficient in teaching with their knowledge and guidance to the students, they are from recognized universities, and some of them are scholars ph. Ph.D. holders etc. There are special classrooms auditorium playground lab library facilities for the students. There are two hostels with good maintenance for the 1st year and 2nd-3rd yr students. Exams are conducted timely.

Gainwell-CAT, Joy Mining, Rungta groups, Aditya Birla company, Shyam Metalics, Bengal Projects, Tata Steel and mining limited, giridhan Metalics, Rashmi groups. Students have to enroll in the NATS Portal as an apprenticeship trainee. Within a few months, they get placed as a paid trainee in different sectors where the type applied for. No, doubt every student who is in the way to achieve their dreams being an honest and serious student can absolutely reach their destination.

From the 5th sem, one student can fill out the form and sit for placement and interview. Companies like L&T, Aditya Birla Company, Giridhan Metalics, Tata Steel and Mining Limited, Gainwell Cat, Bengal Projects Limited etc. companies visited and hired students for jobs in different posts. The highest package is 4 LPA till 2023. Students about 65-70 % get placed in different companies other students also go for higher studies. I'm from the Mining Engineering department, I have to go for Practical training after completion of the course, then I'll be eligible for different govt vacancies Or private companies.

There are no hidden charges demanded from the students, but students have to pay the exam fees (e.g. 250 rs), for the boarders, they have to pay the yearly fees, etc. Otherwise, there is no other cost-effective policy. Students access and apply all the govt. Scheme and scholarships such as swami Vivekanand merit cum means ( yearly Rs 18000/-), Oasis, National Scholarship Portal, etc. Campusing and placement record in this Institute is good at all. Here comes various renowned companies and their recruiter for placement drive. About 70 % students get placement from interview of these companies... There is a popular branch named mining engineering, the students are from this branch get PDPT(post diploma practical training) after completion of course of 1 year offered by Coal India Limited (CIL)

Every cultural program is organized by the student welfare team and respective teachers delightfully at different times according to the academic calendar schedule and Govt. Order. The most popular program ever in the Asansol Polytechnic is the "REUNION & SYMPOSIUM" which is conducted every 2 years. I self-experienced a good meet and enjoyable moment with all aptians, seniors & juniors. Many Valuable writer's books available in the library which are not simply one can achieve from the market or bookshop also. Stream-wise Books are available in the library, one get these with his library card showing to the librarian and gets them for a fixed period basis. Classrooms are well organized, For the Computer-aided subjects special classrooms are available, the student can experience much better with these opportunities. Smart class rooms I. e. Projectors, LEDs, big screens, etc are also provided for the students. Sports are arranged by the students, Inter departmental matches are played by the students.

The minimum qualification 10th pass from any recognized board. From the official website of govt. Of West Bengal WBSCTE. CO. IN. Reservation for the SC/ ST/OBC and LLQ (land loser quota). The teachers are very good. Placement records are good enough.
