Established in the year 2013, the Bengal College of Polytechnic is situated in the industrial city of Durgapur, approximately at a distance of 173kms from the state capital Kolkata. The campus is well connected by local transport and at a distance of 5kms from Durgapur Railway station. The College is approved by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and affiliated to WBSCTE (West Bengal State Council of Technical Education). The campus is surrounded by lush and natural greenery and the environment is lush and green.

The college offers a Diploma degree for 5 different streams. The admission for different streams is carried through JEXPO for 1st years students and VOCLET for those who apply for Lateral Entry.

BCP Durgapur Admissions 2020

Admissions to this college are totally online and for admission in both 1st and 2nd year, the student must be a valid citizen of India.

For 1st Year

The students must have passed in a secondary or equivalent examination with 35% marks in aggregate and 45% marks in subjects of Physical science/science and maths in combination.
Students who have qualified the JEXPO examination in the year 2020 with 35% marks aggregate are also eligible.

For Lateral Entry (2nd year)

The student must have a valid rank in the VOCLET-2020.

BCP Durgapur Facilities

The college provides a variety of facilities so as to keep the minds of the students relaxed both mentally and physically.

Laboratories: The college boasts its highly equipped laboratories for different departments which include- Electrical Workshop, Transmission, And Distributor Of Power Lab, Switchgear & Protection Lab, Manufacturing Technology Lab, C-Programming Lab., Highway & Transportation Engineering Lab, Surveying Lab, Microprocessor-I Lab, Basic Electronics Lab, Instrumentation & Control Lab, Strength of Materials Lab, Transmission And Distribution Of Power Lab, Electrical Design, Estimation & Costing, Metrology, Surveying Lab, Geotechnical Engineering Lab, Environmental Engineering Lab, etc. The 1st year laboratories include the Engineering Drawing, Chemistry Lab, Computer Fundamental Lab, Language Lab, Physics Lab, Workshop.
Hostel facilities: Hostel facilities are available for both 1 year and all 3 years. Both girl’s hostels and boys’ hostels are present. The rooms are two-seater with a common bathroom.

The other facilities include seminar halls, Library well-equipped with books and a reading capacity of 130, Cafeteria and CCTV Cameras. Uniforms are also provided from the college which includes a pair of summer dresses, a blazer for winter, and a pair of ties.

The placement cell is well equipped with a group of skilled teachers and is overviewed by our Hon’ble Principal Prof.(Dr.) R.R.Pandey. For the purpose of proper placement drive, the college is equipped with audio-video aided seminar and conference halls. The perspective of my daily college life

Likes

The labs were good and clean the machines inside were very accurate
Our college has a smart classroom which was pretty cool
The classes were big and the students were also co operative

Dislikes

The library books were limited and maximum books were not available
The college was in a remote area..there were no shop available nearby

I applied for BPC institute of technology..I cancelled that admission because I preferred this course because it was giving me two courses combined No.not rejected. I just choose EEE(electrical and electronics engineering) because the course was new and fresh I have the exam called JEXPO. One student can give this exam after their 10 th boards. total 30000 students applied in our time and our college cut off was 4500 my rank was 4169 so I got it. overall the admission test was moderate.

Bengal College of Polytechnic is the best Polytechnic College to gain skills set and give flexibility and choice in the students carrier options.

Admission:

The candidates who wants to take admission should have passed secondary examination or it's equivalent (10th exam) with 35% marks (without additional subject) in aggregate (with 45% marks in physical Science and Math) or a valid rank in JEXPO (35% marks in aggregate) or valid VOCLET rank for the admission to 2nd year in diploma Engineering. The candidates appearing in the secondary examination may also apply. The candidates have 35% in aggregate which falling candidates is able to cancelled even after selection in JEXPO. Candidates find the application form from the any engineering college and application fees is 500 rupees and application dates according to WBSCTE rules.

BCP- one of the Best Diploma college

Admission:

To get admission in this course you have to pass class or 12 with a minimum of 40% marks from any recognized board. Also, you should have a valid rank card. You can get the form for applying on our college's official website as well as an offline form on our college campus at Durgapur. There is some 25% discount on the total fees for the reserve category students. The admission procedure is well organized so no improvement is required from a point of view.

BCP- A College to Study Engineering

Admission:

The eligibility of the course is that you have to pass class 10 or 12 with minimum 40% marks and/or Valid Jexpo rank card. The application form is availble in the colleges official website as well as in the offlline at our campus in Durgapur, West Bengal. There are reservation benefits as well as various scholarship schemes for the studnent belonging from financially unstable family. Honestly there is no improvent needed in the admission procedure as it is well organized.
