Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because of my interest on agriculture and allied sector. My faculty is situated at chakgaria, kolkata-94 and the university building is at Belgachia, kolkata-37, the number of student at our faculty is now around 200 and number of students at out university is around 1000. Our faculty is established on 1995 and all the teachers are students friendly and professional basis.In every 6 months there is a semester examination for bachelor students and research period for master's and PhD students. For passing the examination it is not much difficult.

Class Size: 45Course Fees: INR 11420 per year

Internships Opportunities

There are some companies related to agriculture and allied sector are there for internship opportunities of our students and also a training program internship is directed by govt. Of west bengal is arranged. And also a on farm training program is directed by our university.

Fees and Financial Aid

For bachelor's degree students, the fee structure is 5710 for every semester and for master's degree students the fee structure is the same as for bachelor's and for the PhD scholars, the fee structure is 4250 per semester. Not that much of a scholarship has been provided. A little amount of university scholarship is provided for 30 per cent of students of each batch and swami Vivekananda merit cum means scholarship has been provided from govt. Of West Bengal. There has been no campusing provided at the campus but there is govt. Post for our professional course named fishery extension officer in every block of West Bengal.

Campus Life

Sports and extracurricular activities happen on campus like football, cricket, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, shot put, discus throw, drawing and rangoli type. We have a particular committee named the Student Welfare Committee for the development and social purposes of students.

Hostel Facilities

According to the fee structure hotels are good but the environment around the hostels is not much good. Each hostel room provides beds, fans, tables, chairs, a locker and a shoe rack. The meal quality of mess according to fees is very good. The menu includes fish, meat, chicken egg, vegetables and dal.

Admission

I find the application form from one of my friend's suggestion and my friend suggest me to do the same. My application fees is 5710 and the date of admission was last year. Myself belongs to general category so I don't get any reservation benefits.All the admission process is good but i, personally want to an entrance examination for admission procedure betterment.

Facilities of WBUAFS

Placement Experience:

BFSC passed students are eligible for campusing and eligible for govt. job opportunity. Bt MFSC students are more preferable for the jobs. Various companies are visited like cp, biostat, IFB etc. 40-50% of students are getting placement. I need a job so try to pass the companies exams.

I choose the college because Dairy Technology is itself a thriving course and career and our university ranks second among all dairy universities. It also provides an satisfaction to study in Biology stream who cannot clear Neet exam. This university also provide free transport facility that isthrough its own University Bus from Kanchrapa station (nearest station) Mohanpur campus and from Belgachia University Campus to Mohanpur campus. Comparatively it also gives a well to do packages. The political intervention or political choas are not present which is a great problem to most of the universities in West Bengal and in India. Life of a BTech DT student studying in WBUAFS

A student can opt for this course (BTech in Dairy Technology) in West Bengal University of Animal and Fishery Sciences (WBUAFS) if they have the subject combination of PCM or PCMB (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology) in their 10+2 standard and have cleared West Bengal Joints Entrance Examination (WBJEE) or Indian Council of Agricultural Research Examination (ICAR) with suitable ranks. The application form will be available once the students have been allotted with this university after the completion of counselling processes. My college my opinion

It is one of the best colleges for BFSc course. First of all a online application has to be filled up, then a merit list is published by the university based on the 10 + 2 percentage of the students. At last students has to attain a counseling process. The cut off is nearly 92% for general category and there are other reservation also available.
