Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course as I am very interested in the field of electronics and communication and I had heard that this college is very good for ECE. I also have an aspiration to join the IES and this college has a very good record in that exam. The faculty to student is quite good its around 1:20. The faculties are highly educated people holding PHDs in various fields and have a very good teaching method, except for some exceptions. This college conducts 2 exams every semester, the exams are quite easy to clear.
Internships Opportunities
There are a lot of companies that come here for internships during the start of 5th semester. The average stipend was around 50k. They do ask for projects and different co-curricular activities performed by the student.
Placement Experience
The students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester. There are a lot of companies that visit like Microsoft, Amazon, Goldman Sachs, and many other prominent companies. The highest package received is 1.35Cr. PA and the average is 20.31LPA. Around 95% of students get placed. I am planning to get into IES after the degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees of this college are not at all high as compared to other private institutes. The cost of the study is quite minimal. I haven't received any scholarship as of now. I got an educational loan from SBI as financial assistance.
Campus Life
The college organizes fests annually. The cultural event is called "CULRAV" which happens around April month of the year. There are quite a lot of books available in the college library, there are almost 30-40k books. Some classrooms have AC in them. There is a good sports culture in the college, most prominent sports include basketball, volleyball, tennis, chess, etc. There are a lot of clubs in the college.
Hostel Facilities
The rooms consist of bed, wardrobe, and study tables. The meal quality of mess is not up to the mark, the menu keeps changing and sometimes it's good and sometimes not. The registration process is quite easy for the hostels and can be done on the college site.
Admission
Every Indian who has passed class 12 or equivalent in the PCM stream is eligible for the course. To get admission to MNNIT Allahabad you have to take the JEE Mains exams which are conducted twice by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The application process is quite simple, the NTA issues a notice 2 months before the exam and opens applications for almost a month. The exams are generally conducted in January and April. The test is conducted online at the test centers. The application fee at my time was Rs650 per exam. There are a few things that the NTA can improve like they can provide details more.
