Course Curriculum Overview

I love computers and I am very curious to know every code language if you want to become an engineer in life you have to code languages like C++, Java, Python etc. If you got a chance to know about these inside a 4-year B.Tech course then obviously everybody will choose this course. The faculty is very good. They all are very best at their particular portion and they are very helpful. The teaching method is very good. Terms exams happen after like 4 to 4 and half months and the exam is not so difficult yet difficult

Class Size: 60Course Fees: INR 80000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for this course is around 3.5 to 4 lakhs. You can various jobs in the best possible private companies through offline and college campusing but your cgpa should be around 8.5 to 9.5 and anybody can get various types of scholarships like the Swami Vivekananda scholarship etc

Campus Life

There is a fest called ARCADIA which happens every academic year, this is the biggest college fest. Also, there are many small events which are organised by different departments. there are also hackathons which are also organised by the organising committees. There are various sports like Football, BasketBall and volleyball practice in this college and various sports tournaments. there are also social groups of every department itself.

Admission

The application process was very smooth. You had to give the WBJEE exam and if the rank is in between 10000 you could get the cse or the best course in this college. yes, there is a reservation benefit also in this college like others. but what I can say is that it is the best college that anybody can get within this rank.

Story of hit

Placement Experience:

The campus placement from recently past years is slightly good . Like tcs infosys cognizant ibm Capgemini like companies comes every year with good placement and capsitech gives you internship from 3 year . From 7th sem you are eligible for campus placement in 2025 the avg package is 5-7 lpa and Highest lpa is 75lpa . My plan is getting good job in good company

Placement Experience:

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months

NIT Durgapur:-A wholesome Insight in the college life and it's different aspects

Placement Experience:

For campus placements student become eligible from the 7th semester onwards and for internships student get eligible from 5th semester onwards. Wide no of companies visited our campus around 180+ and made around 580+ offers to the students. The highest salary was 58LPA which was offered by DE Shaw and the highest accepted salary was 51LPA in Microsoft.The average package rolls roughly around 10-12 LPA.The profile offered include SDE roles, management roles,finance in some cases.The overall placement percentage was around 80% with Branches like electrical and metallurgy moving above 90% followed by CSE and ECE in the mid 80s while for biotech and civil the placement percentage are generally below 70.My plans after getting the degree is to land a job offer from on campus placements.Therefafter maybe look out for and MBA from top B schools of india.

1)I applied to TMSL and heritage insitute of technology but i choose AOT over them because in tmsl there are no hostels and in heritage i got ece. 2)Admission to our college is through wbjee, jee mains,JELET (for lateral). no need to worry about admission process you just need all require documents and proofs to get admission. 3)From heritage i got rejection because i don't get cse there.(my rank was 10k). 4)mostly students came here through wbjee in 2025 cutoff of cse this year was approx 30 to 35k....Read More
