Course Curriculum Overview

3

I took psychology and journalism because I was already into psychology and wanted to do more of it and I took journalism too to dig deep into the media world. Usually, the psychology department has more teachers than journalism. Teaching is good but again it varies from teacher to teacher. The tests are usually at a medium level tough at times but sometimes they are easy.

Placement Experience

2

Usually the highest package received was for students from BBA/bcom but others don't really have many options for placements. For placements, students become eligible from 3rd or 4th year depending on your course. The percentage doesn't really matter, all they require are proper etiquette skills as said by the BBA teachers.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees are a bit high. And about placements, there are really good options if you do bcom or BBA but again it has a long process and at times they hardly select 5 candidates. For other courses, there are very limited or no placement options. Only internships may help

Campus Life

4

At MCC there are many feasts going on every month these are usually organised by the college student council. There are so many associations in which the students can join to enhance their skills. About sports, they usually select people from the state/country level but it depends from sport to sport.

Admission

The first step is filling out the admission form which you find on the MCC website and after a few days, the management will reach out through a phone call you might have an entrance exam for some course or if not just an interview. In some cases, they just call you and tell you to pay the fees

Placement Experience:

After the 2nd year, you are offered the option to register for placements. Various companies like Goldman Sachs, EY and NGOs like TeachForIndia visit the college yearly for placements. I am not very aware of the placement scenario in the college as I am planning on pursuing my masters immediately after college and hence, am not looking to get placed. The placement cell in the college is very functional however, and give time-to-time updates about placements and internship opportunities.

Psychology course curriculum is great. It's interesting and informational and you also get practical learning Optional English i regret choosing because it's not what i expected it to be. There's a lot of reading to be done and you have to be regular. the teachers don't really do a good job of making the subject interesting. there's 2 sets of exams mid sem is 25 marks end sem is 60 difficulty level - easy-medium

The placement cell is very active in our college and it is headed by an associate professor. The students from the 1st to 6th semester are getting placed. Recently we had companies like Wipley, Optum, Toyota, Wipro, etc. The highest package is 7 lakh and the average package is around 3-4 lakh per year. I have planned to go for government jobs after my graduation.

Remarks:

It has it's ups and downs, but it's easy to ignore the negative points and just enjoy the positives if you really want to. There is a lot of politics on campus that can be quite frustrating sometimes, but I think that's the case everywhere.
