Likes

The course structure was excellent, it made me to learn all the basics to the core level and gave a strong opportunity to learn.
The placement is good in our college.more than 50 percent of the students are get placed in our college.they conduct pre-placement talks and written exams by every month.
The college provide internship and the in plant training for the best students who are all performing well in the studies the experience was very good to me.

Dislikes

Placements for CSE, IT and ECE departments are good, and it is not that good for other departments.
Hostel Fees Is Very High And The Fees Does Not Match With The Service Offered In Hostel
Regarding Placements They Should Make More Progress.

Centre for Internship and Industry Interaction (CIII) is a constituent body of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Centre (IEDC), Pondicherry Engineering College. The center facilitates the students of PEC to undergo Internships in Industries and promote Industry interaction.

Placement Experience

Highest package: 10 L, Average package: 4 L. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Zoho, Hexaware, Wipro, LTI, EmbedUR, Capgemini, Kantar, Kaar, and some other companies that visit our campus. For placement, it is one of the best colleges in Pondicherry provided you are eager to learn and gain good academic knowledge. Around 85% of the students get placed in the year.

Fees and Financial Aid

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: Candidate must have 45% marks (40% marks in case of candidates belonging to reserved category) studied Mathematics, Physics, and any one of the following subjects: Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Information Technology / Informatics Practices/ Technical Vocational Subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies/ Biology / (Botany & Zoology) with above-mentioned marks from any recognized Board/Center.

Campus Life

The Pondicherry Engineering College has set up art and cultural committees hobbies club and the NSS for the cultural life of students on campus. Currently, the library of PEC has more than 50,000 books along with various journals. The library also provides an option for e-books and e-journals. The library of PEC is networked with Madras Library Network which means it has access to resources of more than 50 libraries situated in Madras. The library also provides photocopy services.

Admission

Candidates who have passed 10+2 with the science stream are eligible to apply for the B.Tech course. Candidates who want to enroll in the course can apply in the course by visiting the official site of the college by paying 1000 Rs. as an admission fee. The selection in the B.Tech course is based on the JEE-Main and CENTAC entrance exam scorecard.

Know About Puducherry Technological University

Placement Experience:

By 7th Semester, students are eligible for Campus Placements and there are several companies that have visited our college during a course of 2-3 months and there were many offers made, highest package was of 9.5 LPA and the average is of 5-6LPA Students are getting Placed very well, and i have place already so my plan is to get into the job and excell in the IT Sector

I got into SMVEC First, after a month later, i got into my current college PTU in which everything was better than SMVEC, SMVEC is a lot more like a school, while PTU is more like a college where the staffs dont consider about any rules, but they be on time and perfect when it comes to studies.
