Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as I have a little interest towards electronics circuits.1:50 is the faculty-to-student ratio and all the faculty here are phd holders yearly there will be two exams and you need to have a good grip and good thinking skills to get passed in exams or otherwise, it would be difficult.

Internships Opportunities

Our college offers many internship oppurtunities.For the recruiting companies the eligibility check is cgpa and some of the companies are P&G, Texas Instruments, NVIDIA and the average stipend is around 60k-100k per month.

Placement Experience

Placements are good the highest got last year was around 67 lakhs from the 6th semester the students are allowed to sit for placements in many MNCS like Google, Texas Instruments, Microsoft, and Nvidia and the average package are around 14 lakhs and the placement percentage is around 90%

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees would be dependent on the category of person to which he belongs For a general category student fee would be 2 lakhs including the hostel and for sc/st student fee would be around 1 lakh per year and they can avail scholarships like nsp which provides around 1.4 lakh for the students

Campus Life

Life is good in NITC we will be having two fests one is a cultural fest called RAGAM and one technical fest called as TATHVA. Ragam is South India's biggest cultural fest and there will be enough copies of different books for students to study.And the sports clubs and other clubs are very serious and they take immense care in selecting students for their clubs

The admission process was smooth and simple as my college instructed the required documents to be submitted in well handed before itself. The entrance exam that I wrote is jeed mains through which I joined NIT CALICUT You can find the application form on the NTA official website. I have availed ews category reservation

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I have choosen this college because it is of top 5 NITs and i am getting a good branch. I have apllied for remaining top nits also, but i got this for my jee mains rank( i couldn't make to other top nits because may be of lack of good preperation for jee). When compared to remianing NITs, this college has everything that every other NIT also have, the sports facilities here can be improved. I wanted to get into Mechanical Engineering in any of the top NIT's so applied for all the NIT's in the NIRF ranking order with mechanical in every college so after the counselling happened to get into NIT Calicut. The admission process is through JoSAA Counselling where students come to the college after getting alloted but before that the student needs to clear the JEE Main Exam to get admitted into the college. Accordind to NIRF rankings this is the top 27 Engineering college in India and top 3rd NIT. Admission process is only through JEE Mains Exam. You need very good percentile to join this college. Nit Calicut very good placements too....Read More
