College review

Term exams were once every 3 months. We have a total of 3 term exams per year. Medical science is indeed a difficult course to study, hence the exams too are difficult to pass, but with one's hard work, one can definitely clear it.

There is a compulsory internship phase for all students pursuing medicine. We have to serve in the hospital for a year. The stipend is around rs. 30000 per month. We have to do a duty of min 84 hours per week.

For the first year, we need to pay 38250, but for the next 3 years, the fee reduces to rs.18000 per year. Hostel fees are separate. For mess, we have to pay on a monthly basis. Various govt organisations are present that provide scholarships to students.

There are many fests conducted here like the annual function, garden fest, academic events, cultural events , ted talk, etc. Library is available which has various range of books present. We have various equipments required for medical sciences.

The hostel facility is very bad. There is no proper space for further accommodation. Girls are kept in the old nursing hostel. Monkeys and snakes are usually found. Mess food is of good quality.

Reservation should be given to only economically backward classes. I'm a general-category student. And students from well-off families are getting reservation benefits, which is in itself a problem. There are many people from the ews category, they should be given rights to education and hence reservation should be provided to them. As a general-category student, it is quite difficult to grab a seat in any government medical college. With the increase in several students taking part in competitive exams, the cut-off has been going on increasing year by year. Many students from the gen category aren't able to get a seat just by one mark.
