Lectures are very good, teacher's guide us in every way
Atmosphere is also very friendly with an anti ragging cell

Dislikes

Placement can be a bit active with 90% placement
Canteen foods can be bit varied as it doesn't have much food
The registration process can be a bit smoother with online filling

Course Curriculum Overview

As I am a student of English Hons, I am totally dependent on lectures. From that point of view, the teachers are quite cooperative and helpful, even helping with assignments and notes. Moreover asking lots of questions doesn't irritate them.

Placement Experience

Every department organises placement programs each year and the first, and second sems are made ready for the interviews pros and cons. Placements happen to many people others want to make a career in different directions.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I am in a government college, the cost of my studies here is less. 2k of 5 months are taken and fees for examinations are taken nothing more than this. This is quite helpful for the underprivileged children

Campus Life

The campus is quite good with a gym, basketball court, carrom, table tennis and lots more. Many events and seminars are organised all year long and everyone participates actively there. Canteens are filled with laughter and adda.

Admission

The admission process was quite easy you just need to apply and then wait for the merit list and then if you are selected according to your marks then you can get admission. I saw my name on the 3rd merit list.

Interview Experience

Not really as everything is dependent of marks and everything is computerised. So you need to score high marks for getting admission. The admission process is quite easy if your marks are higher. That's the only criteria

We were held a class for upto 1hrs, thus we had 4 class a day. Sometimes it is boaring sometimes it becomes striking, it depends on the mood. It is to say little knowledge is a dangerous thing, if you don't read you cannot pass the semester examination. Although it will provide you a second chance. But with change of syllabus the exam pattern also change. You need to attain a total percentage of 75(%) to maintain you honours subject otherwise you would be regarded as programme course student.

I applied to Surendranath Women's college, Vidyasagar College, Gokhale Memorial and Acharya Prafulla Chandra College. Amongst that I chose this college because of the NAAC A grade rating and along with the factory that the college is very near to my place. I got accepted into the other colleges but this seemed like an easier approach to me , because along with my course, which is very time consuming I'd rather have a college near my place. The admission process was not that difficult. I applied on the online portal, uploaded the documents. Saw my name on the list and went for the admission procedure on the nearest cyber cafe.
