Study environment And faculties are very friendly and the time pass facilities like playing game and the library provides all kind of books to students and a very silent environment placed in the college
Everywhere in the college the internet wifi facility is available.

Dislikes

The communication system to this college is very bad.
Even you have to travel like 10 km to catch the train.

Course Curriculum Overview

It is an autonomous college. I chose the computer science course as I was interested in it. There are so many faculties. The ratio of students and faculty can be told to be 30:1. Faculties are very friendly and helpful. If you study a Lil bit harder it is easy to pass the exams.

Internships Opportunities

Honestly, I have not taken internship right now but I have heard from the passed-out brothers that the internship facilities are very good. Though there are many companies like Nalco and gmr near the college location.

After 6th sem students get able to sit in the placement. Many mnc ies come for placement to this college. The average package of this college is 4 lakh and the highest package is 10 lakh. 80 percent of the students get placed every year in different companies.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of the college is 68k for the self-financed branches like cse and etc. And for nonself financed courses the fee structure per anum is 28500. You can apply for state scholarships and prana and labor card scholarships and get a decent amount of help as a scholarship.

Campus Life

Very good study culture the college provides. There are so many fests like the Horizon and other functions that help in the college after the odd sem in the month of April and May. The library provides all types of books needed for your academics.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facility is very good at this college. There are 2 shared rooms in this college. And the meal system in the canteen of the hostel is very good and hygienic. The menu is accordingly to the students.

Hostel Fee: INR 50000 per year

Admission

You have to crack a good rank in jee main exam. Then you have to apply for ojee counseling and follow the processes. I had taken the help of some online websites to find more information about the college like collegeduniya etc. And to know about the fee structure I followed also the college office website.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1. Relevance & Comprehensiveness (Rating: 7/10) The course curriculum at SOA is updated frequently compared to state government colleges. Why I chose this: I was attracted to the fact that the syllabus includes modern electives like Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, and Data Analytics starting from the 3rd year itself, rather than waiting for the final semester. Real-world Prep: The curriculum is designed largely to crack placement interviews. There is a heavy focus on Aptitude and Core Coding subjects (DS/Algo) which helps in getting a job. However, for deep research or R&D roles, the theoretical depth is sometimes lacking. 2. Areas for Improvement Teaching Methods: A major issue is the reliance on PowerPoint Presentations (PPTs). Many faculty members just read off the slides. I would prefer more "Whiteboard Teaching" for mathematical and logic-based subjects. Lab Records: We spend hours handwriting practical records/files which are just copied from the manual. This is a waste of time. This time should be used for live coding projects or hackathons. Outdated Subjects: First-year students (even in CS/IT) are forced to learn heavy mechanical/civil concepts. While basics are good, the depth of these non-core subjects should be reduced. 3. Exam System & Difficulty Frequency: It is quite hectic. We have 2 semesters a year. Each semester has 2 Internal Assessments (Quizzes/Mid-sems) and 1 End-Semester Exam. Basically, you have an exam every 1.5 to 2 months. Difficulty: The exams are Easy to Moderate. It is not very difficult to pass. If you study the "Class Notes" and "Previous Year Questions" for 3-4 days before the exam, you can easily score an 8.0 SGPA. The checking is lenient for passing, but strict if you are aiming for a 9.5+ SGPA.

Life at NIST

Placement Experience:

I actually have a very little idea about placements of our uni few seniors says there is not a single company visiting, while few were discussing the highest placement which was something like 20lpa or something,i think companies do visit our campus it may not be much but i have definetly seen one or two companies visiting. I plan to do MBA after my Btech so i am not that serious about whether i am getting placed or not.

Value For money college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.

Placement Experience:

I am in my final year and 80% of my classmates including me are already placed. All top MNCs comes to our campus and currently most students are placed in the ranked of 10-20 LPA of CSE branch and top placement was of 52 LPA.

Comprehensive Review of Campus life at IIIT Bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for campus placementfrom the beginning of 7th semester. Major companies that visit include Oracle, Media.net, Tiger Analytics, Incture, Quantiphi, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Informatica and many others. The highest package offered was 24 LPA by Zscaler, while the average package for the electronics branch stands at 6 LPA. This year placements were affected by the recession, resulting in approx 100 students remaining unplaced.

First experience of iiit bhubaneswar

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible for internship officially from 3rd yr and for placements 7th semester onwards. Recently oracle has visited and 4-6 gote in there with 26 LPA . Zscalara was also there around 15 LPA . Percentage last year was 80-85 ig. I think I will join as a software developer along with a carrier in photography but let's see what happens.

I chose this college for this particular branch . Electrical engineering is a very respected branch in our college as many industries are built near this area which take students from campus selections.
