What Students Say

Likes

The classroom is very big and spacious with lots of compatibility
Faculties are good and very supportive for the placements
The playground is so big and do have old canteen.

Dislikes

Very few amount of labs. We need more labs for experimental purpose
Food quality is not so good we need improvement in the food quality
Environmental is very polluted because of presence of thermal plants near our college

Course Curriculum Overview

Courses are very old. We still follow the 2018 syllabus honour CSE IGIT and there are insufficient amounts of lab and the computers in our college the specific aspects that up curriculum that influencement to decide this courses now it is very demandable course

Placement Experience

The seven semester students are eligible for the campus placement there are very companies which are visited to our college the hat packages 9 lacs per annum and packages for Lux per annum 50% students are getting pressments

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees is 68000. The hostel fees is 46000 for boys and 45000 for girls. The examination fees for even semester is 1700 and for odd semester is 3700. The college fees includes a development fee which is 5000 rupees.

Campus Life

Zara different types of functions and annual function are organised in our college our college supports different types of extra curricular activity and sports suggest cricket badminton football volleyball Kho Kho and different types of cultural events there are many clocks in our college there coding club drishya club robotics club

Hostel Facilities

There are different types of facilities are provided in our room I am staying in brahmos Bhavan . The registration process of a hostel is based on this semester results the full quality is good and Wi-Fi supplies provided in our room

Admission

The other college I have applied what got rejected is Odisha University of technology and bera Surendra Sai University of technology but due to the low ranking in exam High court rejected then I got a seat from Indira Gandhi Institute of technology Sarang

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is very less list of permanent staffs and faculty members. So there is a lack of experience in the faculty members. But the faculty member who are present are really good and supportive for the our placement and competitive examination purpose.

Night Life

The campus and hostel timing is the gets are closed at 10:00 p.m. at night there are two cafeteria and one library is present NR college the famous hangouts place in our college is old canteen the localities safe to Rome around the night

Honest Opinion in the college

Placement Experience:

There are internship opportunities at the starting of 3rd year and job opportunities at the starting or 4th year. This year many companies visited the campus which include DE Shaw, Flipkart, Oracle, TCS, VISA(for summer internship drive), and various start-ups like Sarvam AI and many more. Highest package was 56.8LPA by DE Shaw. Flipkart took a total of 20 candidates (12 were selected for 34.5LPA and 8 for internship opportunities). Average package going around 9LPA. TCS mass recruited candidates for around 4 LPA, and ORACLE has been consistent at taking candidates for 24 to 25 LPA. Percentage of Students placed for CSE branch is 90. Many students opt for M Tech courses via GATE exam after getting their degree.

Value For money college

Course Curriculum Overview:

I mainly chose this course because the college is Autonomous, which allows them to update the syllabus faster than standard university colleges; seeing subjects like Python and Data Science in the early semesters really influenced my decision. The curriculum is decent for getting placed in service-based companies like TCS or Wipro since they focus heavily on the basics and aptitude, though for high-end product roles or research, you have to put in extra effort yourself. I definitely think they need to reduce the theory load and focus more on practical coding because sometimes it feels like we are just writing assignments instead of building things. Also, the junior faculty rely too much on reading from slides, which really needs to change to make classes more engaging. As for exams, it feels like we are always writing them since we have two internals and one end-semester exam per term. They are moderately difficult and the checking is strict, so you can't slack off, but the tight schedule can get quite exhausting.

The excellent university of odisha

Placement Experience:

From 6th sem of completion eligible to sit in placement called by campus placement in university. Companies like accenture, techmahindra,tech bee,and wipro comes for hiring. Highest package till now is 29 lpa and lowest is 1.5 lpa. Average package is 5lpa. Mostly 80 percentage of students getting placement from campus drive. My plan after getting degree is getting job from campus drive.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from their 3rd year onwards. It has been only 2-3 months but I have seen several companies arriving at the college, prominent ones being Flipkar,Deloitte, Xerox, TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Microsoft, Dell and several others including startups. There is no accurate data on how many offers have been made this year, but there are rumours that more than 95% of the eligible students have got placements. After getting a degree my plans are if I dont land into a satisfying job then I will start my preparation of the military or start a new business.

Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology is a government college but provides much more facilities like private colleges.

In odisha we have a specific counselling procees named as OJEE counselling. In this we have to apply for many colleges as we want. Electrical engineering is a very respected branch in our college as many industries are built near this area which take students from campus selections.
