Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology is a government college but provides much more facilities like private colleges.

The curriculum of this college well defined, As i am now in 1st year computer science, but we have to study mechanical ,civil, electronics, electrical like all branch subjects. The difficulty level of exam is moderate to difficult.

Many companies are come for internships like tcs, infosys etc. And good stipends are given to students pursuning internships. There is also special classes held for students for their placement preparation.

From 7 semesters students became eligible for college campus plcements. Companies visit to our college are vedanta, adani, tcs, jsw, infosys and many more. The highest package is 27 lpa and average package is 4 lpa. My plans after getting placemens is to become a software engineer.

The yearly fees of this college for CSE students is 83600. AS it is a government college but here the CSE is a self sustaining course, so its fees is quite high than the normal courses. Such as E-medhabruti scholarship, krusi vidhya nidhi yojana, etc.

AAROHAN- our esteemed anual college function HORIZON-Annual techno cultural literary intra college fest, a spectacular event There are a lot of books and journals are available in the library , but a 1st year can issue only 3 books from library. The class rooms techenabled class rooms with smart boards. There are sports like badminton, chess, foot ball, cricket, kabaddi and many more. The clubs in our college are Literary club, Music and instrumentation club , dance club, etc.

In odisha we have a specific counselling procees named as OJEE counselling. In this we have to apply for many colleges as we want. So i applied for VSSUT,Burla and OUTR,Bhubaneswar and many more colleges. But i got this college (Indira Gandhi Institute of Technology , Dhenkanal) as according to my JEE main rank. Our colleges admission process is very easy. At the time of admission all payments taken by online. We to make payments , show receioptts to college and then verify our documents by the college and then they give us our temporary ID card and thats it.

The faculty to student ratio is 1:120. The faculty members are very good and polite to students. My favourite faculty name is Mrs. Archana Pattanayak maam. There are two exams i.e Mid sem and Sem consisting 60 marks of each subject. And there are also 4 internal exams conducted of 20 marks of each subject. The curriculum of this college not much older nor much new.

There is a gym placed outside the college campus. There is also a cafetaria in the college campus and also a OC is there. The 1st year hostel in timing is 7pm. The campus in timing is 10pm. The KFC is famous here , and its full form is Khuntia fastfood Centre. The library opening time is 8am and closing time is 11pm
