Remarks

I would say the college is run by people who are interested in personal gains . Improvement is not happening and faculty shortage is getting worse as well. Overall I enjoyed the life in the campus. It was a good opportunity to find many new friends

Entrance Preview

I wrote jee mains 2014 to get qualified for an admission. The admission procedure is long but fairly simple. Apply for your preferred college and branch and the selection criteria is purely based on ranks. I was always interested in going for chemical engineering and I was happy that I got admission here

Course Curriculum Overview

2.5

Course curriculum is the same as followed in most of the colleges in India. The first 2 semesters wil be common for all the branches then you enter your core stream. As far as chemical engineering is concerned i would say the curriculum should be revised. There wasn’t much practical learning involved. There are plenty of electives to choose from all the other departments in the college ranging from graph theory to robotics to computational fluid dynamics and so on

Internships Opportunities

College doesn’t provide internships. And it’s optional as well. Students who wish to learn practical understandings may join in any companies from their stream

Placement Experience

3

Placements are a common thing and companies visit almost every week. One can appear for placements from final year. Computer science students fetch the best jobs and they have almost 100 percent placement. Amazon, oracle ,adobe, reliance,Exxon Mobil etc to name a few. The average package in the whole college would be around 6 lakhs per annum.

College Events

4

The technical event organised is Eagan. It is one of the biggest in south India. Many students from other colleges participate. The cultural feat ragam is even bigger in terms of proshows and cultural s

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee for my batch was rs 40000 per semester. This include only tuition fee. For hostel and food it costs around 3600 per month

Fees and Financial Aid

College doesn’t provide any scholarships but there are many scholarships provided by state and central governments. College authorities help in applying for scholarships.

Campus Life

3.5

College has many clubs including music, dance, maths, adventure and sports clubs. There is 2 or 3 grounds and tennis court and gym in the campus. If one is interested there is enough opportunity to showcase his talents

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostels are alotted based on the year of study. There are single rooms available for final year students and shared rooms for others. The food is okay. North Indian and South Indian food is available in the mess. The college canteen is really poor

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni interaction is limited. But online networking is available and one of the alumnus conduct Career guidance classes.

Exam Structure

We have exams almost every month. I wouldn’t say it’s tiring. There isn’t much to study. A thorough study just a day before the exam can fetch you decent marks

Faculty

3

The faculty ratio in most of the NIT s are below par. The exact same is the situation in this college as well. As far as quality is concerned i would say some of the faculties are highly qualified and they know what they are doing. But most of the temper pry faculties are just a waste of time

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is the worst. Teachers rush through the portions so that they can finish at the earliest. It may be because the university has a unjustifiable timetable. There is very little practicals given. The ones that are given are just for namesake.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.
