Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is designed in such a way that it fulfills all the industrial measurements that are useful for placements. The faculty-to-student ratio is 80:1. All the faculties are at least Ph.D. qualified. The teachers are well qualified and their way of teaching is extremely good.
Internships Opportunities
Students are eligible for the 5th semester of their B.Tech. courses. Many of the students start preparing for internships in 5th semester and they go for internships at companies. Some of them get pre-placement offers that secure their job.
Placement Experience
The placements from NITK are good. Almost every eligible student gets placed irrespective of their branch with a decent amount of package. Students can apply for the placements by the end of 6th semister, which usually starts from the month of August. The companies which visit the campus for placements are as follows: Meta, Netflix, Amazon, and all the rest of the companies which usually talked about.
Fees and Financial Aid
The institute fees for B.Tech. is approx. 600,000/- for 4 years. And hostel fees are around 400,000/- for 4 years. Along with this, there are some scholarships also provided by institutes based on the merit list of the entrance exam. And the students whose annual income is less than 1lac per annum get 100% of fees remission.
Campus Life
There is an annual cultural fest known as Incident which is celebrated in the month of March and is south India's second-largest cultural fest. There is one annual technical fest which is celebrated in the month of October. There are two huge libraries inside the campus where students can borrow books for their courses and study.
Hostel Facilities
There are some old hostels which are not so good and facilitated but the newly constructed hostels are actually good. In each hostel, students get one table, one chair, one cupboard, one ANL port, and a coat. The meal of Mega Mess, Pushpagiri and Block 8 mess is very good. The registration process for the hostels is online and is done on the website of NITK.
Admission
The admission process was completely offline and the reporting was also offline on campus only. The application form can be found on the website of NTA. There are reservations for SC, ST, OBC, EWS, Pwd candidates, girls, and home state also.
