Likes

Campus Placements were really good. People who are eligible for placements are generally placed at the end of the year. Packages vary from Course to Course. Computer, IT - 12-13 LPA, Electronics, EE- 8-10 LPA, Mechanical, Production, Civil - 6 LPA
Campus life is fun. With lush green and open campus and ample clubs and societies and good sports facility, one can enjoy college life
Infrastructure is decent enough. Good campus with good facilities

Dislikes

Being an NIT, it deserve improvement in every aspect. Although each facility is good, but scope of improvement is there
Admission and Admin team need to be more supportive and should help students more to solve their queries

Course Curriculum Overview

My AIR was 35563 and as per counseling I got Production and Industrial Engineering at NIT Kurukshetra, my preference was to get Computer and Circuit branches like Electronics, and Electrical. There were around 70 students in class and were about 10 professors and 5 adhoc teachers. The faculty is highly qualified, they have done Masters and Ph.D. from IIT and abroad. Exams happen as 2 Mid-semester test and End semester test, Difficulty of the exams was moderate.

Class Size: 72Course Fees: INR 90000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships opportunities are great for Computer and IT followed by Electronics and Electrical and then Mechanical and Production and least civil, Companies offering internships are Microsoft, Amazon, Google, SunPharma, Startups, etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure was around 90k per year as a course fee, 6k for the hostel per year, 36k-48k for mess per year (3k-4k or more depending on student to student). There are scholarships on the basis of a category but not on the basis of JEE Mains Rank or Class 12 Marks.

Campus Life

Annual Cultural Fest - Confluence. Annual Tech Fest - Techspardha. There is a very spacious library having a lot of books, newspapers, magazines, etc. New classrooms are equipped with AV screens and are spacious. Sports - Athletics and Basketball are best, Volleyball is good. Cricket, football, and other sports as average. The swimming pool is great. There are a lot of tech societies for each department and cultural clubs as well.

Hostel Facilities

For the first year, we have sharing rooms - 3 in one room but post that one room per person. Meal quality is average, some days it is good and some days it is bad. The menu is diverse but generally caters to North Indian food only. Every person who is not a Day scholar stays in Hostel and Hostel is cheap. 1800 for sharing and 3000 for a single room. PG or rented rooms are available in front of Kurukshetra University.

Hostel Fee: INR 6000 per year

Admission

The exam needs to be taken, JEE Mains. AIR is prepared based on the same. All the application process is available on JEE official website. Cutoffs vary from college to college, generally to secure decent NIT one has do have AIR between 5K and 50k.

I don't know about placement because my batch is the second batch of btech course but the hod have assured that they will bring companies. In 7th semester students become eligible for placement. The average package you could expect is 300000.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunity in my college are quite good and student usually become eligible for the campus placement for 16 and seven semester, depending on the course number of recruitment, companies of the IT finance, consulting and the core industry, visit the campus, each year, student companies in for TCS et cetera, et cetera, the highest package offer is the quite impressive and average package a decent and the comparative compare to the other college and the region. This colleges through the job profile offer Software development, business analytics sector on the average packet of 78% are eligible and perform interview.

Placement Experience:

The thing about my course placement is that my batch is second batch so no batch have been passed out and placed in btech but the dean have assured us about the placement as they have bought companies for others courses so they will surely bring for btech also that's what they said. The companies will mostly nearby to dpg degree college. And the average package will maybe 3 lakh per annum.

Our college is the best option if you can't get good IITs or NITs and the research culture is excellent.

Placement Experience:

The placement scenario is excellent which is responsibly managed by the Head of the Department. Almost 95% of the students got placed with decent salary packages in MNC ranges between 8-9 LPA. For cooperatives and milk plants, the salary package offered ranges between 5-6 LPA. I choose this college cause, I am interested in this branch and I don't have any prior interest in any particular colleges, in this college I am getting the particular branch I am interested in,while there are few colleges which are providing me same branch but they have some limitations like there infrastructure is bad or crowd is not that wonderful like here people are generous and motivated you can't find the same everywhere. Reality of NIT kurukshetra

I took this college because the nit kurukshetra is one of top college in India for engeenering. I also applied dtu and i also get it in but not cs breach which is my priority. I also want to go iit but i am able to qualified the jee advance.
