Not proper guidance for placement. Everybody just know about software companies, not non tech roles.

Course Curriculum Overview

I was curious about the electronics and signal processing You can say one faculty was teaching about 150 students per class. All faculties are Ph.D. in our college and they use projectors and slides to teach. Mid-term and end-term exams were there in a semester.

Class Size: 96Course Fees: INR 350000 per year

Internships Opportunities

I did one internship on finding topological invariants in the real world. It was about making topological invariant shapes of rhombus, rectangles, and donut shapes and coding them in Matlab. We were able to code the task for n dimension and able to generate the required figure.

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester, students become eligible for placements Amazon, Microsoft, Sandisk, Samsung, Nagaroo. Avg package is 15 lakhs CTC. Min is 6 lakhs CTC In total 95% placement was achieved.

Fees and Financial Aid

JAC has a policy for its college to increase fees by 25% per year. So every year fees get increased by 25% of the previous. The scholarship is there at the campus. One is a Merit-Based Fee Waiver and the Other is income based. Both provide a 25-100% waiver of fees.

Campus Life

College hosts two fests every year. One is a tech fest called Esya and the other is an annual fest called Odyssey. IITD has a separate library block where students can rent out course books. There are several sports and coding clubs in the college.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel rooms are of 55-starlevel. They have AC, a Bed, Almirah, a Table, and ca hair for a single person. Meal coupon needs to be purchased separately, not included in hostel fees. There is a portal for applying for Hostel.

Hostel Fee: INR 84000 per year

Admission

I gave Jee Mains exam to appear for the college admission process. My college comes under the JAC board so the further cut-off and college list comes there only. We have to choose a college priority and branch priority according to that college.

From Classrooms to Campus ; my dtu journey

Course Curriculum Overview:

I would say the course curriculum at DTU is quite relevant and comprehensive. The reason I chose this course was the mix of strong fundamentals in the first year—like Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and Programming—followed by department-specific core and elective courses that allow some flexibility and specialization. The curriculum gives a solid foundation for both real-world applications and further studies, especially through hands-on projects and lab work. That said, some areas could be improved, like including more industry exposure, internships, and practical case studies to bridge theory and real-world problems. Exams happen twice a semester (mid-terms and end-terms) and include assignments and projects as part of evaluation. While most exams are manageable if you keep up with the coursework, a few subjects can be challenging, and preparation is key to avoid surprises.

NIT Delhi: A Balanced Blend of Academics, Opportunities, and Campus Life

Placement Experience:

The annual placements at NIT Delhi are consistently getting better year by year where the top branches such as CSE, ECE, and IT are leading the way with their strong placement rates. Many students get hired at very attractive salaries by well-established companies like TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Microsoft, and Amazon. For example, the CTC of the best offers have reached as high as ?15–20 LPA in some instances. The Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical branches also contribute to the university’s overall placement record to some extent. Those students usually boost the available opportunities for themselves by taking up internships and off-campus offers. Moreover, the students who fail to get a job on the campus can still benefit out of the college atmosphere where the strong basics of coding, projects, and practical skills are taught which makes the students quite employable at startups, off-campus, or even when going for higher studies like M.Tech/GATE/abroad. To sum up, NIT Delhi is a very solid foundation for the students whether they want to have a career or continue with their education.

Great Placements but Campus needs improvements

Placement Experience:

After 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. Almost 90% students gets placed. The top companies are Amazon, Apple, Microsoft, Google and Adobe. The highest package is 53 lacks and the average package is 20 lacs. I plan to become a software engineer after i complete my course or study further.

A decent college

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students get hired, obviously, and they get a decent package. Highest package from our college is 52 LPA. Average package is 7-8 LPA. Highest package off campus is 1.2 Cr. Per annum.
