Media dept. of Marian college kuttikkanam offers an umbrella course that gives all the platforms in the field of media and journalism. It gives a great opportunity for students who want to pursue a career in this field. That's why I chose this course and am satisfied with this course and the faculties here are well experienced and have a great relationship with prominent people in this field. This helps us to get good contact with prominent people thus setting our career.

In this course, we have to do 3 internships as part of the academic. The first internship was after 2nd semester, which I have done with the Kairali News channel. This opportunity provided me with experience in the field of journalism.

The college provides campus placements and many reputed companies come to the college for placements. The college even conducts huge placement drives with students from all across Kerala participating in the exam.

The fee structure of the college is 35000 per semester. The college also provides scholarships, both government and private. The college has its own scholarship and it is provided to students who are eligible under certain criteria.

The college has a happening campus. The college has something always happening on the campus every day. It could be sports events, games, or music events. The college also has various clubs and all students are part of one or another club. The social life in the college is great, with very friendly students and faculties.

The hostel admission can be availed by needed students during the admission process. The food menu of the hostel is majorly South Indian and both vegetarian and non-vegetarian options are provided. The accommodation is great and students can opt for dorms, 4, 3 or 5 share rooms.

I had attended an entrance test to get admission to this college and had an interview. After that, they called me and I joined this college. The qualification for this course is any degree with 50% marks. We can find the application form on the college website itself. The admission processes are really good and satisfactory.
