My honest review of marian college Kuttikkanam

Our course is designed in such a way that it blends with many topics that are covered in the ACCA as well as CA subjects. This syllabus follows an outcome based pattern. They check our real world knowledge and practical skills. Also the syllabus changes everu year

Students have to do internships after their first year in CA firms, accounting firms. They also provide opportunity to join as an intern in the big 4 companies after undergoing interviews. Also they give opportunity to do internships abroad.

The commerce department offers high placements for its students compared to other departments. From sem 5 onwards big 4 firms such as Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc comes to the college for placement. After that other companies such as TCS, Accenture comes for placements. They offer packages like 7 lakhs, 6 lakhs, 4 lakhs.

As sem fees we pay 5000 each month in the aided stream. For self finance stream you have to pay 18k per sem. Before every sem end exams we have to pay 630 to register for the exams. For the course quality they are offering i think its worth the money.

The college is so vibrant and happening. Cultural celebrations like christmas, onam is celebrated with events for an entire week. Also events like Caligo (south indias largest management fest) is hosted in this college every year. Every day there is something happening in the College

The rooms are basic Just with the bed and study table and cupboards We pay 4950 each month as mess fee. We are served chicken curry in various forms every night. And fish in curry as well as in fried form in alternative days For the money, the meal served is good

I chose Marian over Sacred heart Collge, Thevera because of the BCom program Marian offers. They give students the chance to opt for BCom along with ACCA and other professional courses and arranges the qualified tutors for us

There are 200 faculties in our college which are very much qualified and apt for their positions. The facilities are very open to students and they are very much approachable (most of them) We have 4 exams, 3 int exams anf 1 sem exam each sems. They follow a outcome based exam pattern

The college doesn't support night lifes in normal days. Night life is supported only when events takes place. The college has a very good gym, Zomba training. There are cafeterias in different parts of the college. Also there are various hangout spots such as dam reservoir spot After 8pm no one allowed to wander inside campus. Students have to get back in hostel within 5 30 pm
