Course Curriculum Overview

5

As I am pursuing a Bachelor of Arts I have chosen this course because I want to apply for the civil services exam UPSC. I am in pgdav college the college has a great infrastructure and facilities. Now talking about the faculties they are just awesome we have 3 sections divided in each course, and there are about 7 subjects. The faculty-and-student ratio is about 100 students:25 and professors. Our college faculty is well-qualified everyone has tremendous academic qualifications. We have a semester of 5-6 months each semester. The syllabus of all the subjects is completed within the required time. We all have to give assignments, practicals, and tests before semester paper which gives you wonderful experience before exams that how to deal with it.

Internships Opportunities

5

There are many internship opportunities one of the main opportunities is a vice chancellor internship under which 100s companies came across the students to provide them training according to their interests and skills The average stipend is 15000 and the highest is 35000. Projects such as visiting Ngo's, Mnc's, and visiting with ceo provide a good experience.

Placement Experience

5

Our college provides students with 100% campus placement for any course. Students are eligible for campus placement after 4th semester. Our 130 companies visited and offered thousand of offers to all the eligible students. The package was 35 lakhs in B.Com hons and the average package was 8 lakhs. Around 170 students are eligible and 168 are selected so it means 100% are placed. I have done many internships in college so I think I will be placed with the help of our college campus placement cell.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of our college is very-very nominal and affordable it is around Rs.14,357. Our college never increases fees it's always affordable for all kinds of students. Our college has lots of internship programs with the internship cell our college provides students to grow and provides 100% campus placement to all the students. I have got an internship at an NGO on the monthly 8000 stipend.

Campus Life

5

The campus and the infrastructure are very nice. Our college does many fests around the year. I think overall 4-6 fests in a year. Our college has a famous fest name Arohana. There tech fests like hackathons are conducted. Our library has well organized and has thousands of books, novels, and journals. Our classrooms have several amenities like smart class, projectors for presentation, and air purifiers for fresh air. There are many social groups, clubs, and societies run by our college students like the Chanakya Society for Maths mridanga Society for Dance.

Admission

I have got admission through the common University entrance test CUET. The eligibility of my course is like that you have to opt for a section and you can choose any language you want. Section II you have to select any three domain subjects that you have studied in your standard 12th. And III rd one is a general test which is not compulsory at any Delhi University for honors papers but in some programs, it is needed. You can find the form on the NTA website, the application form cost around 1500 Rs and it varies according to subject selection also it may be less or more. Actually, I belong general category so I don't have any knowledge regarding Reservation benefits. No, I don't think that any change is required in this admission, it's a very nice process that provides students a lot of time to understand everything deeply.

Placement Experience:

The placement opportunities are mainly for commerce stream departments but the humanities stream also are offered internship from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and Home ministry. There are many private companies that come to offer placements. The students from 3rd year in particular apply for internships. The highest package iffered is 500000 and the average is 250000. About 45% students get placements. My plan after getting the degree is to go for higher studies.

Remarks:

Positive : the faculties are good and I could say our college is the meeting place of various cultures ranging from Kerala to jammukashmir Negative: the infrastructure is poor. Labs and libraries are not so good. And there are stray dogs who often steps into classes and make us afraid. College is not fully air conditioned but is on processing.
