Course Curriculum Overview

CSE, IT, and ECE branches have good placements. Faculty of core branches are very good and many faculty work on research projects with students. There are ample societies to explore and find your passion and interests.

Class Size: 166Course Fees: INR 170000 per year

Placement Experience

From the 7th semester, companies come to campus. Around 100 companies visit the campus. The highest Package was 52lpa given by Microsoft India. Most of the students of CSE, IT, And ECE get placed. My Plan is somewhat uncertain but the main focus is on campus placement.

Fees and Financial Aid

The institute provides fee relaxation benefits to SC/ST and people with low income less than 1lakh per year or under 5 lakh per year. NEP and State govt scholarship schemes are there and also banks are inside the campus for education loans.

Campus Life

Infrastructure is somewhat decent and ample books are available in the library. Classrooms are well built, especially the new lecture halls. Sports facilities are somewhat decent. Social groups and clubs are operating but most of them are dormant.

Admission

Eligibility:- Jee Mains, conducted by NTA generally 2 times a year but in 2021 when I gave 4 times it was conducted. Reservation for Gen-Ews, OBC, SC, ST, girls, and physically handicapped. The cutoff for CSE is around 10,000 for both the home state and other states.

Brief About NITJ

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placement in their final year (7th semester). only a few companies made no offers. I can recall only 1 name Nation with NAMO. highest package in Civil branch was 14LPA. Average is 6LPA. for all branches highest was 42LPA with average 12 LPA. placement % is 60-80 among all branches which is improving every year. I am planning for higher education.

True experience of a SLIET Student

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was interested in Robotics and my parents wanted me to take a core branch. The curriculum is not very relevant but some topics are good and related like modern welding technologies and manufacturing techniques. I think our college curriculum needs to be updated where more new world technologies like AR and VRs should be taught with advance robotics. Teaching methods used are classical I think professors should try to use smart classrooms to visualise the concept to make it better understandable. Exams are moderate level but I think our college needs to reduce exam frequency although we have time but due to exams nearly every month it doesn't feel good.

Life at NIT Jalandhar : A comprehensive student perspective

I applied to several institutions including NIT Jalandhar, NIT Srinagar and UIET Hoshiarpur And Pec Chandigarh But choose NIT Jalandhar due to its robust placement record well recognised NIT brand and strong industry connections. NIT Jalandhar offers better infrastructure, facility expertise and peer environment compared to other options I had while I got confirmed admissions from uiet Hoshiarpur and nit Jalandhar my preference for a national level campus experience and comprehensive curriculum lead me here. My JEE main rank mit nit Jalandhar's cutoff whereas I couldn't qualify for top iits due to higher cut off the admission process is straightforward students must clear JEE main participate in Jossa counselling and meet annual cut offs .The eligibility is 75% in class 12th And a valid JEE main score. Atharv ki dastan nit ki kahani

I got 28102 rank in jee mains and 24576 rank in jee advanced My primary goal was to get into any iit but I can't get due to my rank if I would have got any iit o would have chosen it over In josaa counselling I got iiit bhopal cse which was quite a good option because bhopal is not so distant from home and also has good placement but it has many problems like no permanent campus and hostels etc and very high fees which I can't afford So in next round I got nit jalandhar ice over it because it is a cirtcutal branch enough options in tech and core both morover it comes with a nit tag and less fees and I want clg in north...Read More
