Course Curriculum Overview

I want to explore the new specifications that's why I choose this course, faculty is supportive sometimes, teaching methods have to improve, exams were timely and the level of the exam is medium. sometimes teachers do really strict checking so studying is important.

From 7 semesters you are eligible for campus placements, there are several companies visit our campus like Infosys, trident, are other new startups, the highest package is 10 lac and the average package is 3-4lac, and 60 percent of students get placements. I want to go through college placement after degree completion.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure is basically 85000 for one year but there are reservation scholarships and also the scheme of tuition fee waiver that helps in reducing the amount of the fee basically this scheme is valid only for students with less family income, and placements are there in college but not at good packages.

Campus Life

The infrastructure of the main University is good but the college campus is too old manufactured there are several updates that have to be done classrooms are too old there are also some light issues in summer, the library is too good, sports management is ok, there are clubs but not active.

Admission

Basically, direct admission is also there but the first preference is jee exam for any scholarships, you can find application details on their official website, and all about the reservation benefits detail are there on their official website, all the process of admission is good no improvement is needed.

Life at CGC Landran

Course Curriculum Overview:

I’d rate the curriculum like 7/10 in terms of relevance and comprehensiveness — it covers all the major CSE subjects like DSA, OS, DBMS, CN, AI, ML, Cloud, Cybersecurity basics, etc., and honestly that was one of the reasons I chose this course because at least the core subjects are solid even if PTU keeps some old-school stuff in the syllabus. The curriculum does prepare you for real-world stuff, but only to a point — like, if you focus on coding labs and projects you’ll be fine for internships, but if you depend only on classroom theory then it won’t help much because industry wants hands-on skills. For higher studies also it’s okay because theory depth in subjects like OS and DBMS is decent enough. But yeah, improvements are definitely needed — some subjects feel outdated, teachers should use more practical examples, and we need more real projects instead of copy-paste lab manuals; also some faculty teach directly from slides which gets boring fast. Exams come twice per semester (sessionals) plus the final end-sem around December/May; they’re mostly easy if you write long answers, but tricky if you rely only on understanding because PTU likes theory-heavy questions. Overall, the system works, but it could be way more practical and industry-focused.

Placement Experience:

There is an option for students to opt for placements from campus in our university and if we seect that option we are given special training by the university it self in fields which we think we are weak.That include technical and non technical fields like soft skills. University also ties up with other triaining companis to train us in better way by calling tutors from outside the campus for teaching us. Over all if we consider we are already well trained by university to sit for on campus placements and we usually get a good paying job which also helps us to gain more knowledge and improve ourself.
