Course Curriculum Overview
Each semester is of about 4-5 months. The questions are based on the teaching of the professors and faculty members and it is not that much difficult. The body which conducts semester exams is Jharkhand Technology University.
Internships Opportunities
There are various internship opportunities especially those you will avail of during the third year. Companies offering internships include Tata steel, Vedanta, Amazon and many others. Bit Sindri hod and professors are also working on different projects.
Placement Experience
The placements records in this college are quite impressive. In various branches, it is up to 100% with good packages. If No campus placement is offered I would opt for higher studies. After completion of the 6th semester, one becomes eligible for campus placements. Students also get PPO in this college . The highest package this year was about 40 lakhs and average up to 6 lakhs. This year about 900 placement offers were received . The companies that participated in placements drives include Vedanta, Tata Steel, Deloitte etc. Every year the percentage of students getting placed is increasing and in various branches, it is up to 100%. My plan is to get placed in good company after completion of my degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is minimal here and it provides equal opportunities to students of all the sections. There are various scholarship opportunities that one can avail of here including government and non-government scholarships. The Campus Placement here is very good. It provides approx upto 100% placements every year. The scholarship includes E Kalyan, Alumni Scholarship, FFE and many others ranging from 20,000 to 40,000 stipends.
Campus Life
There are many social, cultural and technical clubs depending on the interest of students. The different technical clubs are Hncc, ISTE, IETE, Model Club etc. Social clubs include GRS, Rotract, Leo Club and cultural clubs like art club Apart from these there are respective societies of different branches like Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical etc. It also conducts various inter-branch sports events for cricket, football etc. The Campus also has a big library known as Central Library with a wide range of books.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel facility is very good here. The campus has about 28 hostels. There are 4 girls' hostels and the rest are boys' hostels. The room includes separate beds for individuals, study tables, separate shelves etc. The registration of hostels is done during admission only. Meal quality is good and the menu is well designed to meet the requirements of students.
Admission
The admission process was quite good. In BIT Sindri admission process was mainly through JEE Main's percentile rank. A separate State merit list was prepared for admission and it was only for the residents of Jharkhand State. All the Students who have qualified for JEE Main and have a residential certificate of Jharkhand can apply. It provides registration benefits to SC/ST and OBC students based on the ratio of students in the region. It could be better by conducting GD sessions.
