Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course because of my rank and the reputation of the college. Course curriculum is good and we have so many labs to explore. I would say faculty is to student ratio is kind of equal. Qualification of all the faculty are PhD. When comes to teaching method, it differs from teacher to teacher. And not all teachers spoonfeed us like in school, here it's all about self study most of the times. One semester is for 4 months, after 2 months we have mid-sem exam for 30 marks and at the 4th month end-sem for 50 marks. In between we have class test, assignment and attendence which will be marked for 20 marks. Difficulty of the exam varies from teacher to teacher and the subject. But it's easy to pass on overall view.

Placement Experience

3

Students from third year can sit for internship placement. In our branch, no core companies visit, so students mostly opt for non-core placements like data analytics or coding and other students opt higher studies. I'm also planning to go for higher education abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

Though it is a central Government College, the fees for 1 semester goes to minimum 1lakh. But there are tution fee waiver for students having annual income below 5 lakh and below 1 lakh. Also depends on the category of the students, like SC/ST students have benefits in financial assistance in tution waiver. Here no scholarship is available as far as I've seen. No campus jobs available. But education loan is available in the college from SBI.

Campus Life

5

Campus Life is amazing here compared to many IITs. It's a vast campus with good infrastructure in each department and lecture Avenue. Cycle is used by 90% of the students. We have 3 big fest. technical fest called INNOVISION (in October), cultural fest called NITRUTSUV(in march) and Multi-ethnic fest -COSMOPOLITAN (in January). All types of books and journals are available. Too many books and journals for academic purposes. Department classroom is good with black and smart board with projector but non-AC. Lecture Avenue has AC classrooms with black and smart board with projector. We have a large ground DTS and NCC ground, two basketball courts, large badminton court, volleyball court, kabbadi and kho kho ground etc. We also have so much variety of clubs like dance, music, Rotaract, and many more like rainbow dot.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

If girl, you'll be alloted 3/4/5 seater room as there are only two hostels for girls. But many boys hostels are there, so they always get 2 seater rooms. Each student will get a separate table chair and cot with one open shelf. Meal quality is bad though their menu has variety of both north and south Indian dishes. In the institute portal, you'll be alloted the hostel and the room number. Room rent is affordable.

Admission

Admission process was smooth. Eligibility criteria:- To clear the entrance exam. Entrance exam: JEE Mains (must) JEE Advanced (if qualified mains) JEE Mains is conducted by NTA twice a year, one is January and other in April. Application date and form will be available in the official NTA website (jeemain.nta.nic.in). There you will register, then fill out the application form and lastly you have upload the required documents. You have to pay the registration fees which will differ according to the category of the students. For (General/Gen-EWS/OBC NCL category), Female - 800 Male - 1000 3 weeks before the exam, you will receive jee mains admit card from the NTA website after logging in with your application number and password created. This is all about the application process. After results are out, it will be in percentile in first session and you will get your rank after the second session of exam in April gets over.

The highest package was 32 LPA and the average goes to 5-6LPA. The percentage goes to 90 % for placements. After getting degree you can go for higher studies.

Placement Experience:

Placements at KIIT University for B.Tech CSE are decent and well structured, especially for students who prepare consistently. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester, although pre placement talks training sessions and internships start from the 5th or 6th semester. The university has a centralized placement cell that coordinates training aptitude tests mock interviews and company drives. Many reputed companies visit the campus every year including TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini Deloitte EY Mindtree LTI Bosch HP Amazon and a few product based startups. Mass recruiters make a large number of offers while product and service based companies offer selective roles. The average package for CSE students usually ranges between 4 to 5 LPA, while the highest package can go above 20 to 25 LPA in exceptional cases depending on the company and role such as software developer or data engineer. Around 75 to 85 percent of CSE students get placed through campus placements. Students who remain unplaced usually pursue higher studies startups off campus jobs or competitive exam preparation. Placement success largely depends on individual effort coding skills internships and communication ability. After completing my degree I plan to work in the software industry to gain practical experience and improve my technical skills. Alongside my job I also plan to upskill in advanced technologies and later consider higher studies or specialized roles depending on career growth.

Placement Experience:

I would rate the placements at my college as 3 out of 5. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the sixth or seventh semester, and a few well-known companies do visit the campus every year. The placement cell helps with basic training like resume building and interviews, and many students, especially from IT branches, manage to secure jobs. At the same time, the average salary packages are not very high and top roles are limited, so a lot of students also focus on skill development, off-campus opportunities or higher studies after completing their degree

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIIT Bhubaneswar are generally good and improving, especially for students who stay consistent with coding, projects, and internships. In my college, students usually become eligible for campus placements from around the 7th semester (4th year), while many students start getting internship opportunities and pre-placement offers from the 5th–6th semester itself depending on skills. Every year, companies from the software and IT domain visit the campus for roles like Software Developer / SDE, QA, Analyst, Web Developer, and sometimes Data-related roles, and students also get offers through off-campus applications. Some of the common recruiters include companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, Accenture, along with product/startup opportunities depending on the year, and multiple students receive more than one offer as well. The highest package and average package vary every year and depend a lot on branch, performance, and market conditions, but overall the college provides decent placement support and training sessions like aptitude, DSA guidance, and interview preparation. The placement percentage is also fairly good for students who actively participate in the placement process, while the rest generally go for higher studies or off-campus roles. After completing my degree, my plan is to either secure a good software developer role through campus/off-campus and build experience, or if I feel more interested academically, I may prepare for higher studies or competitive exams along with improving my skills.

Campus placement i thik it's in your 4 year of engineering only i.e in your 6 semester. There is a lot of companies visited like jsw ,hindulgo and a lot to go . Jsw provides avg package of INR 12 LPA And it selected only 2 students only. I think girls get placement easily as compared to boys ... companies usually select more female candidates....I think I will go for job rather than doing masters degree.
