Remarks

Overall experience of the campus is very good. I really enjoy the studies as well as other extra-curricular activities. I am glad that I took admission here as I experience many things that I wouldn't have been able to experience in any other university. Nice friendly and peaceful atmosphere in the campus makes it the best campus. Although the placements is still a worry for us but lets hope we get the best results.

Entrance Preview

Entrance examination is called BLAT(BHU Law Admission Test). I cleared my BLAT to take admission in this college. There is no interview process, only an objective type examination. I chose the course and college because of the reputation of this college all over India. Even the placement facilities here are very good and the quality of education is excellent.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course format is quite good and is in accordance with Bar Council of India. Therefore, it follows practical approach including Project presentations for each and every paper. Practical papers like Moot Court and Drafting/Pleading are a part of it. Also, students are encouraged to participate in International and National Debates, Moot Courts, Quizzes, etc. Electives available are LLB(Hons), BA LLB(Hons), LLM Programmes and various PG Diploma courses in various fields of law.

Internships Opportunities

No, college does not provide any internship. It all depends on individual and his talents. Though some teachers can get you opportunities with their personal contacts. They guide us and help us through the entire process but it depends on us if we want to do internship from that place or not.

Placement Experience

3

Since I am new to this college I have a very little knowledge about the current placement scenario in our college. Our batch is the pilot batch and hence we'll have to wait till our time for placement arrives. Though, placement for other courses is excellent and most of the students gets placed through on-campus placements.

College Events

3.5

A lot of fests are organized every year in our college. Every event is a big-scale event where a footfall of about thousands of people is observed. Each fest and event is funded by college authorities and also the sponsors. Many national and international seminars and workshops take place in the college on a very frequent basis like "International Environmental Law, Trade Law, Information Technology Law and Legal Education", "Legal Protection of Consumers in a Global Economy" and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Special Course fee is 60,000 per annum. Apart from that a regular course fees has to be submitted which is around 3000 per annum. Approximately, 1500 per semester examination fees. If a student avails hostel services he has to pay 3500/- yearly. Yes it is almost negligible. All together, it comes around 72000 per year which is quite affordable in comparison to other top law colleges.

Fees and Financial Aid

Being a Central University, loan is not a problem. As far as scholarship is concerned, students do avail them as in accordance to UGC guidelines. Scholarships are provided to meritorious students and students who are good in other extra-curricular activities.

Campus Life

4

Yes, there are ample of opportunities in University starting from sports to cultural and linguistics. Literary clubs are also very active. All these activities help us to realize our inner potential and make us utilize our free time. There are Athletic tracks, swimming pool, hobby center, table tennis and badminton courts, stadiums for outdoor sports, yoga classes and many such facilities available for our recreation.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel rooms have double occupancy and are quite airy and clean. The rooms are big in size which allows proper comfort. Hostel fees is nominal i.e. 3500/- yearly. You have to pay separately for food. Hostel food is average so mostly opt for outside food. PGs are not available within campus but you can easily get flat on rent on reasonable price in the nearby areas.

Alumni/Alumna

Alumni network is now catching up. With the introduction of this course, faculty is trying to keep up with the ex-students and get their help in improving the course as well as for placement purposes.

Exam Structure

The course is balanced one. You can be as involved as much as you want. Exams do happen frequently but they are is no mental pressure on us to perform exceptionally well. The most priority is given on practical performances.

Faculty

4.5

Faculty of the Law School, BHU is said to be one of the best among-st the other law colleges all over the country. With numerous teachers, having experience of more than 25 years of teaching and thousands of papers published across many journals. Currently, teaching staff is more than 40 in number. I personally feel that this is the best teaching staff I could ever get. The interactive sessions held during the court practices and various presentations are a great exposure to a budding student.

It depends on the individual what he wants to obtain. It is a perfectly balanced curriculum that has pretty obvious use in real world or in further academic pursuits. No improvement according to me. Frequency and timings are perfect for the test

Course Curriculum Overview:

There were around 20 to 25 speakers in my course. Because of an enormous number of understudies in a solitary course, we were partitioned in various segments and each segment has distinctive instructors for a similar subject ( few were normal). The majority of the teachers are matured between 50 to 60 who are probably going to get retirement however they have the main part of information and experience since they are profoundly qualified. Also, not many speakers have recently added researchers of the organization who don't have that much insight yet discovered new and simpler strategies of learning and instructing.

After the 5th semester students get eligible for campus placements. The highest package companies were Byju's, Big Basket, Tech Mahindra, etc. and give the best offers to the undergraduate students. Highest package was 7Lpa and the average was 1.2Lpa and the profiles offered were BDA, CSE, Marketing, HR, etc. Out of 100% students 70-80% students get placed and the rest prepare for Master course My plan after getting the degree is to prepare for the Master course.
