Remarks
My parents visited the campus first and then I went to take a look, like every student I was assisted by a dedicated counsellor who helped me out with all the doubt concerning the 5 years timeline and how to go through it. The counsellor aided me to get a hostel, gave me all possible options of private owned PG'S As well as college hostel. Helped me with all the documentation process and stayed in touch with me throughout the initial years to keep me comfortable in this new space. Also, I was obliged to give test and interview before getting into the college and was a wonderful experience.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course curriculum is as per the Chaudhry Charan Singh University, wherein we have all the traditional law subjects which cannot be skipped, on top of that Asian law college provides free diploma courses like media law, personality development, language ( French and German ) etc. I chose BALLB, Because I had science subjects in till class 12, I needed to have basic of law through a subject like public administration, sociology, economics etc, which directly relate to law subjects and law in general. Faculties were very qualified we have had faculties who've taught in DU, AMU, etc. Some faculties were Graduates from NLU's. Our HOD holds a gold medal in his University. Faculties are very experienced and also very interactive. They provide unique sources of law study, give ppts and constant feedback with respect to their teaching is being taken. Students are always heard in choice of faculties. Exams are taken once a semester.
Internships Opportunities
I had internships under 1. CHILDLINE India Foundation in the first year wherein we are given research and analysis work and we're also sent to different localities to have the ground report. 2. PRAXIS-Institute of participatory practices where I did an internship in the second and third year. Here I did research and analysis work wherein we did data entry of companies concerning their corporate social responsibility and their corporate behaviour in terms of following government guidelines. I was offered a stipend for both times to cover up internship expenses. 3. Abhigya kushwaha (Advocate on record) supreme court- here I assisted Abhigya sir to courts. I was offered a stipend to cover up for internship expenses.
Placement Experience
I'm in the final semester, college placement process has started, we have a very good and dedicated corporate resources cell that looks after placement and internships, we were provided internships with the best NGO's in the initial years and then with Supreme court lawyers. We were also offered a stipend for a few internships so as to cover up daily expenses.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees which my batch students have to pay is 85,000 rupees per year, every year till now every consecutive batch has fee hike of 10,000 rs. Like batch 2 (2017) has to pay 95,000 rupees per year and so on. The cost of study in ALC is somewhat similar to that of any other private law college in NOIDA.
Campus Life
At campus, we have 3 major events fresher's, kesshet( cultural fest) and athleema ( sports event). All these events are super fun and full of enjoyment, we get a live Rock show with one of the top singer's of India on keshhet, also one of the best athletes are invited to inaugurate athleema every year. On average all traditional and basic law books are easily available in the college library. College has AC's in every classroom also in the canteen. Seating in every classroom is very upto date and better than all other neighbouring law colleges. There's Moot court and theatre hall as well. Snooker table and tablet tennis are placed in the canteen for recreational purposes. There are no social groups or website run by students. But we have clubs in college which are aimed to help students learn about society, environment, technology, law, media etc.
Hostel Facilities
Getting a room which is good neat and free from disturbance was very difficult for me in NOIDA, my councillor helped me through all low end to high end private hostels ranging from 5000-25000. I wanted a seperate room so all private hostels charged around 9000-25,000 for that but the vibe there was not good. So I luckily got a single room in college hostel with the help of councillor, which costed me 14,000 per month with meal, Ac, private washroom, almirah and bed and bus facility for college. In my opinion room was little costly but I had no disturbances and also was relaxed in college hostel. Hostel meal as average. The locality of hostel was very posh and also had a front facing garden area, hostel was located in a gated society and very peaceful area. 10/10 for hostel locality and connectivity with market and college.
