Remarks
Reputation Of BHU, and B.A.LL.B. is an elite course here (for the batch of 60-70 students). They have almost all facilities that any National Law University should have. Faculty and its environment is good. BHU scored on university level in NIRF rankings at no. 3 in India and on overall level no. 10, the Law School scored 19th out of 20 law colleges in the same.
Course Curriculum Overview
It was very well updated with the syllabus of PCS(j). Almost all courses at BHU are made with an objective to be relatable to UPSC, PCS etc. In some sort, it lacks the practice aspect as almost all time professor teaches theory and don't encourage for internships, also many time they make unnecessary hurdles in recommendation letter for internships.
Placement Experience
Ola and TCS visited for last year's placement. They took in 10 (3 & 7 students) in total with 7.5 lakh per annum to everybody. This was the first time placements happening here as the course started in 2013 itself (2018 batch didn't get any placement). Bad thing about this was our law faculty didn't give a damn to the recruiters for providing them facilities nor our faculty approached many people to invite them for recruitment. They came, they selected best candidates, all by themselves and they went.Yes, all selected one are doing their job Really well. (They joined 2, 3 months after their course completion)2 of them left their job to join some tire-1 law firms.
College Events
They hold various events throughout the year. Both at University level and Faculty level. Inter Hostel /faculty/department/courses competitions are very common. Grand celebration of BHU foundation day, Krishna Janmastmi, Republic Day, Independence Day and many more inter-university level are also held throughout the year.
Campus Life
It's top notch, they have everything all facilities. But they lack Water filters (almost all water points in the premise are useless). They have an awesome library with almost every book(2 libraries Central & Faculty). Classrooms don't have ACs (beware.)
