Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I was aiming to pursue this course for a long time. Faculty: Student ratio is 12:1 which means there is 1 teacher for every 12 students. The faculty is very well educated and able to teach their specific subjects. Term exams were organized every 6 months. Exams were not too difficult to pass. Students can pass exams by just studying daily for a few hours.
Internships Opportunities
I worked at Blinlkit company during my internship and got a stipend of ?7k per month for two months. I have to work there as a financial analyst i.e. I have to analyze the turnover company generates from a specific area at a specific time period.
Placement Experience
Students become eligible for campus placements after the second semester. I visited Tanishq Jewelers and got offered the job of Financial Analyst. I get a package of 35000 per month. About 73% of students got placement this year. I will do a job in a company and will also run my food tech startup simultaneously.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees hike policy is minimal and students can complete their studies with very budget-friendly fees. Middle-class and lower-middle-class families prefer this college because of its less affordable cost to study. I got a swami Vivekananda scholarship of 20000 and I got a job as a financial accountant with a stipend of 8000 per month.
Campus Life
Annual fest (Swami Vivekananda Annual Fest program) and tech fest (Swami Vivekananda tech fest program) both take place in the month of July. There are thousands of books available in the library covering a wide range of interests and subjects like history, business, politics, technology, etc. Classrooms are very comfortable and the environment is study and student-friendly.
Admission
Swami Vivekananda College is one of the most outperforming yet underrated colleges in the state. We can see too much chaos and bureaucracy in the admission processes in Kolkata but this college is an exception. The admission process is too good and swiftly occurring. Students can apply for this college through online and offline processes.
