Remarks

My experience has been great here as I have got enough opportunities to learn and grow.

Entrance Preview

One has to secure a good rank in JEE MAINS to get admission in this college. The registration for admission is done through a portal called JACdelhi. There was no interview during the admission process. The admission is done solely on the basis on the rank one secures in JEE MAINS. NSIT is one of the most prestigious colleges in Delhi. I chose the college due to factors like : 1) Proximity to where I live. 2) Outstanding Placement percentage. 3) Affordable Fees. 4) Experienced Faculty.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

" The course curriculum is updated and in sync with the requirements of the industry. A lot of focus is on Practical learning and every theoretical subject also has an affiliated lab practical to improve and hone students' practical knowledge. Many research initiatives have been taken by the institute. Each professor takes selected students under their wing and introduces them to the world of research. Elective courses form the curriculum of the final year of study."

Internships Opportunities

Yes, the college does provide a platform for the students to bag the internships in various companies. This process lasts one year, i.e when the student is in third year. The experience is surreal as the student gets exposure while dealing with interviews and other formalities. The average stipend is around Rs 30k.

Placement Experience

4.5

The placements begin in the final year of study. Hence I'm not in a position to answer this question. As far as the placements of my seniors is considered. Many companies like Deloitte, HCL, Ericsson to our college for the placement drive. From what I've heard, almost everyone gets placed by the end of the academic year.

College Events

4.5

Many social, cultural and technical events are held throughout the year. The main cultural event of the college is called MOKSHA which is a three-day programme held during the month of March. The main technical fest is called INNOVISION which held almost at the same time as MOKSHA. The average footfall shall be somewhere around 10-15k though the actual numbers can be found with the organizers.Apart from these, many events are u by individual societies and clubs and national events like Independence day, Republic day etc are also celebrated in the institute.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fees of the Institute is very much affordable and is in sync with rest of the engineering colleges of India. The fee is quite reasonable when compared to the facilities we are being provided in the college. My fee is approximately 1 lac per annum. Maybe fee differs for every branch. I do not have any idea about it.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not aware of any scholarship schemes provided by the college's as I do not avail any.

Campus Life

4.5

The college is active in extracurricular activities and encourages to take part in different events and competitions. The debating society of the college is well known throughout the country and so is the dramatics society, the quiz club and the technical clubs. Apart form this, the college also maintains and funds many different sports like football, basketball, cricket, etc. The facilities provided are A1.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Yes, I am a resident of the hostel provided by the institute. Most of the rooms offer single accomodation thus each student is entitled to their own personal space and privacy. The fees for availing hostel facilities each semester is approximately Rs. 30k. The quality and taste of food is good.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is one of the best provided by any engineering college in the country. The students of NSIT are well known in their respective fields. The student alumni interactive session is held in the final year of study.

Exam Structure

The exams are conducted quarterly with each semester consisting of two such evaluations. The exams are evenly spaced to reduce burden on the students.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the institute is extensively qualified and experienced. Teachers are well versed their subjects and are expressive in their fields of study. They are easy to approach and ever ready to help students. Even during class they encourage students to learn not only the concepts of the course but also the recent advancement into heir fields. The standard of teaching is really at par with those of IITs.

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
