Course Curriculum Overview
For me, subjects are attracted me like they are chemistry, biology, biochemistry, microbiology, and technology suit me. Our faculty students ratio is 20:1. The faculties were well qualified most of them are doctorates having specialization in their subjects and masters. Their teaching method is very much interactive in both ways. There are 8 semester total 2 semesters per year which means every 6 months there were semester exams. And more than 2 internal exams every semester. That means 16 internal exams.
Internships Opportunities
Nestle, Dream Bake, Keventer, Bengal Beverage, Parle Biscuit, and Cookme are the companies that usually provides us the opportunity to work with them to get training and internship. Our job roles were Quality executive, Quality in charge, Quality Analyst, Plant safety officer, etc.
Placement Experience
By the end of the 6th or 7th semester, students are eligible for placement. We have Nestle, Cookme, Parle Biscuit, Keventer, ITC food, Biskfarm, Dream Bake, etc there are the companies that usually come for our placements. The highest salary paid is 5 lakh per annum and the average is 3 to 4 lacks per annum. About 95 to 98 % of students get placements. My plan is to go for higher studies after this.
Fees and Financial Aid
Our college provides Swami Vivekananda Merit cum means scholarship SVMCM. Tuition fees are a waiver scheme. Companies that usually come during campusing in our GNIT campus are Nestle, Parle Biscuits, Cookme, Keventer, and ITC food.
Campus Life
The annual fest is Zzyzva. And Techfest is Tesseract. However, there were a departmental tech-fest too. In the food technology department, our departmental tech-fest is name Food Envision. All the course syllabus books are given from the library and other books and research journals are to be issued from the library which is apart from our course and to be reissued on a monthly basis. We have a smart classroom apart from our main classroom where presentation or any kind of webinar takes place We have annual sports where cricket football basketball badminton table tennis chess shorts sprint relay race takes place both inter and intra college wise.
Admission
Must complete 10+2, and qualify for any one of these entrance exams WBJEE/JELET/JEE mains. Application form available on the website a student and go and check the website 'gnit.ac.in' they will get the form there
