College days in the oxford is good

In my opinion, the college is not providing the better facilities as per the fees paid, Still, they can improve the classroom facilities and all since most of the classrooms in our department don't have a projector. One of the good remarks of our department is that most of the faculties are trying their maximum to provide us good facilities. After coming to this college campus i understood that how the college and faculties should be and shouldn't be.

since i am from Kerala I did not write any entrance exams I got the admission through management quota my friends(localities) say they have got admission through cet, comed-k etc;. To take up mechatronics engineering in Bachelor degree i landed up in this college.I was also interested in robotics which adds up to the previous point, No there was no interview process but the admission people went through the academics marks scored before. I wanted to do something different when i ahead about this department since this is a combination of three branches i understood that my all interest was included in this area.

The scope of mechatronics in India is not much but i believe that by 2025 mechatronics will be the leading branch in our country .Mechatronics needs a lot of practical experience to excel but our college is not providing the same. No research initiatives are taken only few departments like E&c, biotechnology have some researches going on.there is a total of 10 branches in our college.

there were no internships arranged from the college side. Since we are doing engineering one of the main criteria for placement is the internships we have done so we have to search for internships on our own.since I didn't attend any internships so i have not received any stipend amount.

As I mentioned before, The scope of mechatronics is not much in India, so the placement for our department is also not good only one or two students are getting jobs in the core companies of our department. Some of the reputed companies visited the college. But none of the companies related to our department. amazon,ebay,payu,shipping companies,tech mahindra etc; visited our college.

There are no such big events organized in our college. Only for festivals or important days the students themselves they celebrate in the college.

It is 1,67,000 INR for the first year, Placement fee is 9500 INR , from second year the fees gets reduced to 1,47,000I NR(placement fee not included) for the management quota. The fees is not affordable its pretty much high than expected.

Since I am from management quota I am not getting any scholarships neither from the college nor from any other organizations.

When compared to other colleges the number of extracurricular activities is less. even though the situation is like this most of the faculties are trying their maximum to provide us better opportunities to explore our talent.

I stayed for only one year in hostel i.e the first year of my engineering. The hostel was not good , rooms were not clean, neither the bathrooms. Since i am from Kerala i was not able to co-up with the food provide in the hostel mess and all other facilities but they are trying maximum to provide us good.

According to my knowledge, there is no alumni association in our college.

we are having three internals for theory and one lab internal in which the average of better two is considered for theory and the same for lab. If the syllabus for the internals is distributed equally then it would be helpful for the students , and one more lab internal is required for the better practice for the students.

In our faculties most of them are m.tech holders in which few are pursuing their P.hD degree, some of them are very experienced, freshers are also included. except few most of them are very interactive and they are trying their maximum to share their experience and do's and dont. Some of them are very helpful in gathering knowledge more than the text book stuff.
