Remarks

need to concentrate more on infrastructure and need to encourage more on sports and management.

Entrance Preview

wrote common entrance test CET karnataka and scored 23452 rank. chose this because it was government aided and near to home

Course Curriculum Overview

4

it was 4 year course with 8 semesters. i chose computer science and technologies. first year was basic general subjects for all branches. other 2 years was core CS subjects. last year was project development under supervision. the last year also includes electives such as web2.0 RDBMS.

Internships Opportunities

yes few companies do hire for projects and will be provide based on the company polices. It is mostly general documentation work outsourced to us and not much to expect.

Placement Experience

3.5

yes there is a campus recruitment drive at the end of 3rd year and will be provide based on the company polices and the current market values. 3.11 lpa was offered for CSE 70% and above students quite few companies visit the college and also some big mass recruiting companies do visit and make sure non of them left out.

College Events

5

most of the Indian festivals are celebrated in small manners. How ever a department fests are conducted by there respective departments which are fun to attend and participate. there also will be a college fest where we can compete with other departments. A cricket tournament is also held every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

since it is a government aided college fee is feasible and not much expensive. if you have reservation it is completely negligible. including tuition exam fee it is around 15k for year. also you need to bare the CET entrance fee every year of 28k a total course might cost you around 3 lack.

Fees and Financial Aid

a scholarship program is available for reservation categories students. And also there will be loan available from the college bank based on the academic performance by the student.

Campus Life

4

Its a 50-50 ratio which is good. many fests are organised by the students collectively. Many work shops are conducted for respected branches. most of the students are locals so less divers. not affiliated to particular political parties. lack of facilities for sports.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

There is a hostel facilities available for the outside students. Separate hostels for boys and girls on the same campus. Rooms are usually shared by 3 students rooms are spacious with common toilet meas is available for food but not tasty. Many hotels and restaurants are in and around the college.

Alumni/Alumna

most of them are willing to help but there is no ways of reaching them unless if you know them personally

Exam Structure

we have 8 semester to complete the course. a monthly internals will be conducted and need to score average of 15 out of 25 need to be scored from 3 internals which will be added to final semester exam. Also lab internals and externals are conducted. so its 35+15 i.e 50 in combined marks to get pass in a subject.

Admission

once the rank was announced an appointment was given to select the available seat based on the CET rank. we went to CET seat selection process in CET cell in Bangalore, shortlisted available colleges for computer science course, got verified all documents and paid the DD for seat selected and got the admitting ticket. went to the selected college with ticket and got admitted.

Faculty

5

All professor are well educated on the relative subjects they teach. Most of them are friendly enough to guide you thorough various problems. enough time is given to teach the subject thoroughly and with much interest. labs are well equipped and attendants know about the setup and are not just to run the labs blindly.

From your 7th semester you become eligible to get placed and it is mandatory to get internship before you get placed which the college helps you to get and around 400-500 companies visit, and a good amount of offers are made by them. The average package stands somewhere around 11LPA -12LPA and the highest goes to 50LPA-60LPA and the median stands around 9-10LPA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

As I'm in 1st semester. I will update you after my exams. But one good thing is that from this year, internals and externals will hold same weightage i.e., 50/50 If you can score more than 45% in internals which wouldn't be that big of a deal because they'll ask most the questions from class notes. Most of the faculties are average I would say. But some are good professors too. I chose CSE because I find these topics interesting since junior school. And everyone is just jumping into cse is a reason too lol.
