Likes

Playing volleyball, badminton was one of my favourite activities that I used to perform everyday.
The events of law used to be very happening.
Their social culture is good and sports meet.

Dislikes

Not so much of technical background, lack in technical skills.
Less placements ,due to shortage of companies in college for internship.
Campus area is small ,which results in less sports arena.

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose it because CSE has better scope. The faculty is good and there is approx 1 for 60 students. Most of the faculty is Ph.D., highly qualified. Term exams are held timely but the minors are not done on time, there is very roughness in their conduct.

After 3 Rd years, students become eligible for campus placements. Usually, startup companies visit our campus along with Josh, Infosys, etc. 99% gets placed on our campus. My plans are to work in big MNCs with quite a handsome package.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees hike policy is not a good thing as students' priority is government organization not only because it has a good culture but also because fees are less so if they will hike the fees, it would be a major issue of concern. There are a lot of scholarships available on campus and you will get to know about the admin block.

Campus Life

Usually, annual fests were conducted in the month of November and tech fest was organized in the month of April but after covid, no such event has been conducted. The library is fully equipped with books and journals. Classrooms' basic amenities are fulfilled like benches, fans, etc. There are no particular coaches for sports and extracurricular, but students can go and enjoy on their own.

Admission

Should have done PCM on the 12th. Check details on JAC Website. All reservation information is on the Panjab University site. Quota counseling Should be more transparent and counseling time should be reduced and only 2 counseling is enough. More companies should be asked for an internship.

Placement are decent.Many companies visit the campus,but getting a good package depends on your skills and performance.Teh university also provides training support. Some companies like Deloitte,nexity consulting,Bigbasket,zepto etc visited are campus.

Average placements for the college. As for the good stduents and competitive students companies r coming and they get internships and jobs . Companies like Deloitte, Adobe , Playsimple. Scalar AI labs , LG etc .Good Stsrtup and well knowed companies gave placements .

Life at Chandigarh University A CSE Student

Placement Experience:

As a BE Computer Science student at Chandigarh University, placements are decent but depend a lot on individual skills. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester, and most of the placement process happens in the 7th and 8th semesters. Many companies visit the campus every year like Microsoft, Amazon, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS, Infosys, Wipro and some startups as well. There are a good number of offers made, especially from mass recruiters like TCS, Infosys and Cognizant. The highest package claimed by the university goes very high, even above 40 LPA, but those are for a very small number of students. Realistically, the average package for CSE students is around 5 to 7 LPA. Mass recruiters usually offer packages between 3 to 5 LPA. Around 70 to 80 percent of students get placed if they are consistent with coding and preparation. Those who depend only on college studies may find it harder due to high competition. The university also provides training for aptitude, coding tests and interviews which helps in preparation. After completing my degree, my plan is to get placed in a good product based company. At the same time, I am also focusing on improving my coding skills and working on projects so that I can aim for better opportunities or even higher studies if needed.

Course Curriculum Overview:

1) I want to go in construction industry so i chose this field. 2) Currently our college curriculum is updated so its relevant i will say around 70 to 80% . 3) For improvement Faculties should be brought from all over india as professors here are only concentrated from ludhiana itself. and labs are very old it should be upgraded. 5) In a semester there are 2 monthly exams and one end semester exam. 6) As far as difficuly level of exam is concerned it is not much difficult if someone solved PYQ thoroughly.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am interested in computer science so I choose this course to learn programing how the code works in computer. Student ratio is 22 in class. Teacher are well qulified and there teaching method is easy to understand. There two term exam in 6 months and these exam is not difficult

Peaceful and green campus of PUSSGRC

Firstly I have applied for Himachal Pradesh Technical Univeristy, Hamirpur, before joining Panjab University Swami Sarvanand Giri regional Centre, Hoshiarpur. I got CSE there, but left because the placement scenario is not as I expected, as it is a new college and still progressing, while UIET, PUSSGRC has a good placement scenario of 70-80% placements and has a good reputation. Admission to this college is on the basis of JEE Main exam and by appling JAC Chandigarh Counselling.
