Overall decent college but need several improvements

I was influenced to select this course as it consists of various subjects which might improve my knowledge of computer science and make me industry-ready. But only theory is taught in college. It does not try to teach us practical world knowledge. It does not teach blockchain, AI. The curriculum does not prepare us for real-world applications. It only leads on teaching theory rather than applying it. Areas of improvement - the curriculum must teach us practical subjects not just math and science. Teach us real computing subjects. The exams must be project-based and be held on a computer. We write code on paper in exams. It's funny. The exams are really easy, theory based questions that mostly come in exams. The questions mainly come from previous year papers.

Students in semester 7 become eligible for placements. Tcs , aacenture , josh technology geneally visits our college. Previous year from a batch of 60 students. 30 students were placed . The highest package was of 10 lpa provided by josh technology and average package is 4lpa provided by tcs. Mostly 60-70 % students are placed in companie during placements. After getting degree i plan doing masters from iit . I have applied for gate exam for masters and preparing for it.

Year wise fees- 130000 Tution fees - 110000 Registeration fees -.10000 Lab fees - 5000 Caution fees - 5000 Sc/ st - no fees General and obc fees - 130000 Scholarship for below poverty line students - 50% discount . For disable - no fees.

Tech fests are generally held in months of october . It includes various events such as singing , dancing , stage shows, debate competitions. The college campus has accesbility to several books and journals. Studdnts are issued a card for this by which they can access these . It leads a good impact on students. It improves their communications skills and tech skills. The classroom has projector by using which teachers can teach using projecters and show us slides. Sport tournament are held in college . Several inter college tournaments are held in months of march. There are sveral social and tech gropus and clubs in college.

I applied for vit vellore , bits . They had very hefty amounts of fess. Which i might not afford. Thats why i did not take admission in these college . My 4 year fees is their aunnal fees. I cleared the exams of vit and bit. For financial reasons i did not take admisison . For other courses rather than btech the college tame entrance tests . For btech jee mains is preffered . The cutoff generaly goes till 85% . There is also a managemnet quoto. Please dont make this statement public. Instead of 130000 they take 300000 for a year in fees.

The faculty to student ratio depend on students a prior class has. In my class batch it has 40 students so student faculty ratio id 1:40. In 1st year thers are 100 students they have not divided sections and student faculty ratio is 1:100 what is quite difficult for students. Harjot the faculty of operating system teaches the best. She has industry experience and clear all the topics in a simple way. She also tend to give real life examples in her class. She coperates with student in a good way. She helps the student s with their doubts. Harjeet the faculty of maths. He is very arrogant and rude with students. He might also fail students ont the basis of attendance and his wants. He do not know anything about his subjects and do nkt clear doubts of students. There are 4 exams in a year. Mid sem and major exams . Mid sems are held in march and october . Major exams held in april and december. From my class generally 30% students fail in exams. The course curriculum is not relevant it does not involve any practical knowledge only theory. Pass marks are 33% of 100.

It has no gym a canteen which is in poor condition and no public closing. No hangout places in the college. Students play badminton in badminton court of hostel. Rather than this there are no facilities. The locality is genrally safe outside. There are gaurds outside the college hostel.
