LPU: Opportunities, Exposure, and skill development

I choose LPU over options like Chandigarh University because of its better infrastructure, exposure, and placement opportunities. I couldn't get into top govt. colleges due to a low JEE rank. The admission process was simple, based on 10+2 eligibility and LPUNEST/JEE scores, with scholarships offered based on performance.

I would rate the curriculum 4/5. It includes practical learning, Labs and projects, which influenced by my decision to choose this course. It helps in building real world skills and prepares well for placements. Exams are help regularly (mid-terms and end-terms) and are moderate in difficulty. For improvement more focus on advanced tools and interactive teaching would make it even better.

Internship opportunities at LPU include roles like web/Software developer and data analyst with companies like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro, with stipends around 8k - 25k per month Students work on projects like app development, websites and data analysis, gaining practical industry experience.

Students are eligible from the 6th-7th semester. Companies like TCS, Infosys, and Wipro visit regularly. The average package is around 4-6 LPA. And about 70-80% students get placed. I plan to go for a good placement or pursue higher studies based on opportunities.

I am currently pursuing B.tech from LPU, and overall my experience has been good so far. The university has a very large campus with proper labs, Libraries, and other facilities required for engineering students. The curriculum is updated and includes both theoritical and practical subjects. We have regular lab sessions, assignments, and presentations, which helps in understanding concepts better. Some faculty members are really helpful and explains topics clearly, but at the same time, teaching quality can vary depending on the subject. One of the best parts about LPU is exposure. There are many workshops, coding events, and technical competitions organized throughout the year. If you participate actively, you can learn a lot beyond academics. The crowd is quite large since there are many students, so sometimes it feels less personalized. But it also helps in meeting people from different backgrounds. Placements are decent specially for CSE and IT branches, but getting a good package depends more on your skills, projects and preparation rather than only the college. Overall, LPU is a good option for B.tech, if you are self motivated and ready to make use of the opportunites provided.

Campus life at LPU is vibrant with events like youth vibe and One India, along with active students club and societies. The campus has modern classrooms, a well-equiped Library, and good sports facilities. Overall, it offers great exposure and opportunities for social and personal growth.

The faculty at LPU is supportive and approachable, and many teachers explains the concept clearly with practical examples. The course structure is well updated, including labs, projects, and regualr assignments that help in overall learning. The exam system is continuous with mid-terms and end-terms, which keeps students consistent. Exams are manageable if you attend classes and stay regular. Overall the academic environment is well structured and helpful for skill development.

Nightlife at LPU is simple, with students mostly hanging out at food courts and hostel areaas; cafeterias stay open till evening while Library/study areas remain open longer during exams. hostel timings are strict, and the nearby areas are generally safe but not active at night, so most activites happen inside campus.
