Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose this course because I was uncertain about my future aspirations whether I want to work in the IT sector or the core job, or if I wanted to go for UPSC preparation. Faculty: student ratio is average when compared to other colleges, which is about 1:16. The teachers are well-qualified and have good communication skills. I know a teacher who is a great researcher from IISC. Teaching methods can be greatly improved as some teachers just come and read notes or read books. Term-wise exams are about 2 months apart as our semester is short. They comprise 20 marks and they are on the easy to moderate side, if you have listened to lectures in class, you can pass with flying colours.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Companies such as DE Shaw, Texas Instruments, and Google provide internships with a stipend of up to 50,000. Many projects such as soil nutrients detection systems, and vehicle number plate detection systems were done by third-year students.

Placement Experience

4

Students are eligible for campus placements in their 8th semester, before which they can do internships for a period of 6 months. Top companies like Microsoft, Adobe, Accenture, Flipkart, and Amazon visited the college. Around 150 offers were made to 124 students in the Electronics department in the year 2021-2022 . The highest package was 1.25 cr/annum in the college, and for the ECE branch, it was 50 lpa. The average package for ece was 17.12 lpa, and the whole average was 13.89 lpa. The high packages were offered for full-stack developers and data analysts, scientists. A total of 82.72 per cent of students got placed successfully on campus. My plan is to work as a data scientist and run a startup based on it. I think my college has the facilities which can avail me of these career opportunities.

Fees and Financial Aid

Earlier fees used to be less than 70000 but now fees are about 78000 per semester. This hike was done to provide students with additional facilities. Currently, I am about to complete my first year, so I didn't do any internship now. Also, I did not get any financial assistance or scholarship.

Campus Life

3.5

The annual tech fest is Techspardha. It happens generally during September - October, but for 2023, it happened on January 28-31. Several books and journals are in the library, also there is an e-library for institute students. We can go anytime and issue the book of our choice. The classroom has all modern amenities like a presentation smartscreen, adequate ventilation, air conditioners, and good desks. As the college is in Haryana, many sports events of nearby colleges and universities happen here, Also our sports teams go to IITs, NITs, and other colleges to play. Recently our basketball team won inter NIT competition at NIT Surathkal. There are various clubs, and societies run by students. There is Techno managerial Society (Microbus), Embedded Systems and Robotics, and Antariksh (astronomy) Society. Also, there are cultural clubs run by students such as Freaks, avian. There is a club for each genre here.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostels are old here for first years . But they are well maintained and cleaned every day. Hostel room contains three beds , each having their personal socket. Two fans are provided with a study desk . A balcony is there to hang your clothes . Menu of the mess is managed by some students and hostel staff , known as mess commitee , they discuss budget and opinions of students to frame a menu . The meals are average , on some days the food is very good otherwise it is average. For allotment of hostels and rooms , chits of paper are taken up by students. The hostels are quite affordable as compared to PGs . The hostel fees is about 6800 year , you get free lan , wifi with hostels

Admission

The admission is through jee(joint entrance examination) and mains exam. To get into electronics and communication at nit kurukshetra , you have to have under 18k rank . The application form of the jee mains exam can be found out at jeemain.nta.nc.in . The application dates for 2024 is not out yet . The improvement i would like to see in admission process is to not admit students based on 1 examination score but using multiple parameters , like 12th board marks .

Other Applied Colleges

BITS Pilani (Pilani Campus) | Bachelor of Engineering [BE] {Hons.} (Electrical & Electronics Engineering)

Because of its high fees .

Campus placements are offered with many companies visiting (700-800+). Highest packages can go high (Rs 30-56 LPA), but averages and typical offers vary (~ Rs 6-7 LPA), and placements rates differ by batch. Some students also pursue internships or off-campus jobs if campus offers are limited.

Placement Experience:

Four campus placements student get eligible after the 6th semester and from 6th semester companies come and they search for their Perfect suit And they just simply Conduct their interviews in the College campus Various companies visited our college like HCL,TCS and many more Offering a basic scale payoff around 6,00,000 Per year. Average package for our college is around three to six lakhs and the highest package a student got is around 54 lakhs Per year. For sitting in placement at least 6 cgpa is required to Get eligible for Placements But most of the companies ask for 7CGPA and above and only few companies are there which demand 6 cgpa students. My planes after getting this degree is Doing a job and then Lumping amount So that I can open up my business in the form of cafe or something else. But somewhere I will like to become nlp engineer As I have interest in sound processing system and AI and being from IT background I have good coding skills and communication skills. Till the age of 40 I Start my own business or a startup. At last but not least Our college has a good placement Drive system And a good academic system too and one can easily prepare for placements if he studies well.

Placement Experience:

From 2nd year onwards we can prepare for it as we are equipped with hands on experience on multiple projects and practical knowledge. Till now the highest package has reached 45 lakhs per annum. I don't think that percentage matters as practical knowledge is more superior that theory part. I am planning to go for MNCs.

Placements are not good in my college. Only few companies are recruiting through on campus like virtusa, tcs etc. average package is 3-4 lakhs and maximum package is 9 lakhs. From 4th year students are eligible for on campus placement. Only 30-40% of students get placed. I am thinking to give gate exam for better opportunity.

Students become eligible for placements after 6th semester. Numerous reputed companies offer placements, to name a few, these are HCL, Tata Consultancy Services(TCS), Wipro, Infosys, L & T, JCB, airtel, JIO, etc. The highest package to date is 27 lakhs per annum and the average package is about 6 lakhs per annum. About more than 85% of students get placed in good companies with a satisfactory package, however, good skills are required for a much higher package. I'll work hard to get a good package at a reputed company.
