Likes

I had friends in most departments and the college infrastructure is pretty decent
The learning atmosphere is pleasant and the library facility is good
Faculties are friendly and will help students

Dislikes

The new Autonomous management is really too strict
For literally anything they make us run for "pink slips"
After being "Autonomous" it is more stricter than schools

Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course because I wanted to pursue a career in civil engineering. There is a good faculty-to-student ratio in this college and also the teachers excel in their area of expertise. Term exam was conducted every 6 months and exams weren't tough or easy it was somewhat in the middle

Class Size: 63Course Fees: INR 850000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees first when I enrolled in the college was seventy-five thousand or something then during the Covid pandemic time there was a hike in college fees to eighty-five thousand. The management allows to pay it in installments if informed prior. No Scholarships were awarded to me.

Campus Life

The annual tech fest's name is Cross Roads it was a really good event before but after the change in "bursar". There were barricades separating boys and girls and the fest was only till 6'o clock. Many other curriculum activities take place on campus. Sports are played too.

Admission

One can enroll in college by writing a keam exam or by management seat. Usually, applications are taken after the keam results are out. Reservations are provided for SC ST and other communities as well as for students coming from poor economic backgrounds and also for students with excellent keam marks.

from semister 6 students become eligible for campus placements and companies loke bank of america , google microsoft etc visited for campus placements and the highest package is about 54 lakhs where as average is 11 lakhs and about 98% of the students are placed

Placement Experience:

The placement here is top notch. This year in my campus the highest CTC offered was 56.5lpa by PALOALTO. Placements process is centralised at coimbatore though. Students are eligible for campus placements from third year or s5. Average package in computing department ranges from 10-12lpa. My plans after degree is to pursue MS: opportunities of which are provided by the college itself. In computing department almost 90% of the students have been placed according to the seniors I talked to. However it is lower in other streams.

Placement Experience:

As of what i spoke to the seniors they said that AI students got better placements compared to Core students and the average package is around 9LPA for CSE branches students and 7LPA overall for all the branches and there is CIR foundation classes where they teach us how to improve our communication skills and How to create a resume right from first year itself according to seniors it is very helpfull

An aspiring first year student’s review

Placement Experience:

Civil engineering is a course with least placement in every engineering colleges. Students are placed during their fourth year in college. Sobha Constructions Ltd is one of the main companies that visits college. 200000rupees package is the average package offered. Les than 25 percent civil engineers get placed. I plan to prepare for GATE exam and pursue more in this course.

I had applied for saitgaits,amal jyothi and cet. Considering cet,the fee and placements are high but the discipline and structured way is lacking.Now considering saintgaits and amal jyothi,there are more opportunities in mbcet to explore.. mbcet is also in the town and easily approachable via public transport.mbcet has a disciplined approach to studies.comparing the hostels too mbcet has one of the best hostels. I was rejected in cet for cs dept as i didnt aquire the required rank..i was accepted in both others but decided to join mbcet due to its status in society.
